Following that easy-going logic, go with toothrow and dreugh king and enjoy full-time buffs without fuss.ryzen_gamer_gal wrote: »my tanks run 100% magicka with lighning and ice staff no problem

Depending on your class (access to major fracture) it might be more benificial to use Night Mother's Gaze when soloing. Also something to keep in mind when Surpise Attack loses it.
I prefer Leviathan over Toothrow. You can stack Leviathan's crit with Major Savagery from Expert Hunter

^This. Leviathan is right on par with advancing yokeda even better if you don’t have vma bow or have trouble getting 3 seconds bow bar rotation. Ppl should wear what they want but too throw is quite useless when a potion can give you same effect. I know potions get expensive but even still why waste a 5 piece for what one skill can give.

Why waste a skill slot when you can always have the buff on? Expert hunter doesn’t help me in pve. And for the fighters guild passive I have rearming trap.
Anyway it depends on the class.

But of course, there are many ways to skin a cat.

LEVEL 50 CHAMPION 160
(2 items) Adds 1096 Max Stamina
(3 items) Adds 833 Weapon Critical
(4 items) Adds 833 Weapon Critical
(5 items) Adds 100 Weapon Damage
(5 items) Gain Major Savagery at all times, increasing your Weapon Critical rating by 2191.
Hunding's Rage
LEVEL 50 - CP 160
Type Craftable
Set bonus
(2 items) Adds 833 Weapon Critical
(3 items) Adds 1096 Maximum Stamina
(4 items) Adds 833 Weapon Critical
(5 items) Adds 299 Weapon Damage
So the only clear advatage hundings has is that it's craftable (so you can make it training and help you level up) and it does 199 base damage more
Toothrow seems like the clear winner here as the major savagery will do you more good in the long run it appears to me. This seems like the set to get once you hit cp160, because it is an overland set and can be bought from the guild store and traded freely (before it is worn or transmuted). Useful when you are on your way to get beserking warrior and perfect arms of relequen
I even prefer to jsut slot evil hunter on main bar than using toothrow and if you dont want to use crafted more expensive pots :P
I myself run on harder vet conent with friends and Im able to do every possible content on my stam char usign trash pots and major brutality from skill and savagery from evil hunter xD
ofc not everyone will inv me to every content like from just basic nobody progressing will inv melee stamina dd for vCR+3 etc...but if I have people who trust me I can do every conten in this game using this cheep set for using trash pots xD
otherway Im exp enough to do this content and no...with this setup to use trash pots..not being forced to use craft pots I still do enough dps so it isnt specially low in group, its just enough to be acceptable everywhere and no need to use craft pots as you seems to not want use them also as you was considering to just use set for crit xD

Are you a NB? As a NB, taking up a slot with Evil Hunter is just as useless as having good crit and wasting a 5 piece set on Toothrow, lol. If you are a NB with low crit looking to up that crit chance, Toothrow is a better option than having EH on my bar, imho. Again, this also depends on the rotation. My Killers blade did 56k. That was the highest number I've ever seen on him and he did it only once, but still...I never have EH. It's just a waste in PVE. I admit, I quit PVP a while back, so I cannot speak for PVP as I mostly run PVE and only enter PVP for certain reasons, then leave. So yeah, it just really depends on the abilities the player is using.
