ZOS WHY? Oh why use Cyrodiil for REWARD EVENTS?

The problem with events in Cyrodiil are the griefers. Yes it's a PvP zone but these players aren't there to PvP, they are only there to try to prevent you from being able to get boxes. There was a group that kept camping inside the building at a quest hub for a turn-in for HOURS preventing anyone from getting or turning in the quests. And a group that camped right inside the entrance to a delve that had one of the quests in it, they were there all evening preventing anyone from getting the quest done. That isn't PvP it's straight up griefing.

I am not chasing the boxes in Cyrodiil. I can craft on 11 characters, then use the gold to buy them. I’m not doing it to avoid fighting (I run Cyrodiil too). I do it to save TIME. I already have all the Abnur pieces now and can do whatever I want the rest of the week.
I anticipate next week’s crates being more expensive in guild stores due to the amount of time they will take, but we’ll see. I’ll get a few by pledges, and the random drops in week five might net more at 77 boxes per day. Then I’ll just buy the rest. It’s really not that hard to get them all, and week 5 might yield some wanted motifs to boot.

Make an group for questing, this makes you pretty immune, yes an group might come and take the town but that is pvp.
Im 90% PvE and has no issue in this week, having 3 pages and some other nice loot.

Week 4 with pledges will be harder to farm, that is if you have an group who burn trough pledges on multiple alts.
    If not a lot harder.
Grinding just make you go in circles.

Well, you dont get to do that in Cyrodiil. It's a war zone, not a peace zone.

You dont have to like that answer, but you do have to accept it as reality.

Well you are not understanding OP issue,

He is right, its ZOS mistake and bad planning.

Many players are just easily getting killed when organized groups are raiding Towns. They are waiting there for PVEr to come and kill them.

They just do for fun or Twitch steaming, same is happening in IC events and ZOS not even bothering to fix this.

This event is giving bad taste of PVP to new players!

If anything it should be teaching new players that they shouldn't set foot in Cyrodiil and expect to get a free pass. That you cant walk in with your full divines gear and expect to do much but die.
Just like in PvE content, a new player is going to have a bad taste if they dont prepare to face what a dungeon/trial has to offer. This is literally no different.
Nah, instead it’s just going to chase them away so no new players set foot in Cyrodil.

Recently we've had to remove a few posts for a bit of derailing, keep in mind that flaming and baiting are both against the Forum Rules. For further posts be sure to stay constructive and respectful to avoid thread derailment or action on one's own account.

If that was the intention, it backfired completely.

After the toxic behaviour from the griefers and lots of boastful comments, I'm pretty sure some or even many of those PvEler who thought about doing PvP in the near future, change their mind.

And I bet the very same griefers are the ones who'll whine loudly when there's no new PvP content next year or the Cyrodiil lags still aren't fixed, because it's not profitable enough for ZeniMax due to the comparatively small PvP player base.

    Fixed that for you

These greifers are showing players that Cyrodiil is not worth going to.

And the people defending them only enforce that point.

There is PvP, and then there is griefing. Camping inside quest buildings with seige is griefing

Exploiting door lag to kill players that have no intention of affecting your campaign is griefing

You start trying to compare griefers with players having role requirements for dungeons, but a more accurate comparison is if ZOS allowed any person to enter your solo run of a dungeon, and kill the boss at the end so you couldn’t get any rewards

Again, the same could be said for kicking low CP players in dungeons.

How is it different? Easy to say no without context.

    Let's keep it cool here..

I never said anything about camping and griefing. I said, truly, that if you come to Cyrodiil, you have to be prepared for PvP. That isn't wrong.

Griefing happens, but it's not because this event, nor is it solely targeted at PvE players. It's just a reality. I've had players chase me across the plains of Cyrodiil because I killed them once. Not saying it's right, but it happens.

I'm not joking when I'm also saying I'm seeing names I haven't seen in a year spent in Cyrodiil out of nowhere chasing me down...or "griefing" as it's being called...leading me to believe some of your PvE brethren are also partaking of this nasty behavior.
Instead of trying to "call out" an entire group and generalizing, maybe we should just be calling out players in general. Been some nasty PvE'ers in Cyrodiil as well...let's not pretend otherwise to prop up arguments. Lets be real here. How many of these griefers would you say are PvE players getting a taste of PvP?

    (A lying answer is zero)

Well.... not a really good try then. Now, I wouldn't pvp in this or any other game for anything - including Tharn motif pages, the which I have no use for as I don't even like them.

But the way to "entice" pve to try pvp is NOT by a bludgeon....

Should the game be solely centered on you. Guess what, the stuff is tradable. Did you complain to zos that last week had nothing for pvpers, or the week before that, or next week?

No I am exersizing my right at a paying member of this game to post an improvement on the forums that will benefit BOTH PvE AND PvP.
I am pointing out that there are NO PvP events geared towards PvPers AT ALL...
AND that just taking a event that should be in all zones PvP and PvE alike and putting it in a zone that apparently attracts people who delight in spoiling the game for anyone in their radius isn't a very good idea. ANY of these events could easily have quest hubs in PvP zones and PvE zones at the same time...
As to not complaining LAST WEEK, THOUSANDS of people WORKED COOPERATIVELY to HELP each other complete quests...

I found it odd that on many campaigns during this event that the pop locked faction is having all of their keeps taken and seems they could not care less if they tried that their emp got beheaded.

I think ZOS believes players should play their WHOLE game. Further, since there’s a noted lack of tutorials in a large since, ZOS believes players that actually start out clueless, would actually learn to play their game and get better and better at it over time. I really don’t think ZOS figured players would gripe about the 3rd week of the event like this. Surely, the devs aren’t LAUGHING and counting money...just counting money lol.

(Me personally, I’d laugh at my game’s player-base were I employed by ZOS).

Dedicated PvE and quite noob person here, and I just don't understand...
Yes, I tried to set foot with my main into nonCP campaign with my alliance losing. Tried to sneak into town, got killed, asked them nicely, got killed again. Alright, I got it.

    You know what I did?
    - took another one of my whooping 4 chars from another (winning) alliance (most of you prob have like several accounts?)
    - got there, did quests peacefully to my hearts content
    - PROFIT

Or, if you have strictly like 20 cats and no one else? Surely one of them must be under 50, why not go into under 50 campaign? It's pretty dead, I got there Cyrodiil shard hunter with little to no preparation (which consisted of crafting invis pots), in few days, solo-sneaking. No, not nightblade. Yes, including IC enemy sewers, with RANDOM skills which I put on bars for leveling them!

Well, I did that at non-peak hours, but you probably got my idea and how generally easy it was.

So I just don't understand - why all that grieving, ppl? So many options to get those boxes! Changing alliance, changing campaigns, changing time, changing quest hub...

    Edited for some typos.

That aim failed miserably in my case.

Actually, the behaviour of many PvPers, suffering from some superiority complex, the griefing, the trash talking, etc. only managed to strengthen my stance on the PvP environment in ESO. I consider it a disgusting, smelly, and hostile cesspit I have no wish to ever as much as dip my toe in.
