ZOS WHY? Oh why use Cyrodiil for REWARD EVENTS?

Why do you continue to put non-pvp related events in Cyrodiil?
Once again, Cyrodiil is overrun with everyone trying to do the event.
Wait times of over 100 people.
The only ones who are happy are the weak pvp'ers who can't normally kill people preying on the questers not geared for pvp.
PvP people can come quest in the PvE world and not get camped by PvE people.
Some people have a very limited time to enjoy the game. Word. Getting repeatedly killed just trying to do the Anniversary Event for the next week is NOT going to be fun. Or relaxing.
I see PvP'ers talking all the time about how there are no special events in PvP, and there should be. For people who want to PvP.
This is not the way to encourage non-PvP players to try PvP. If you want to do that, make a Cyrodyiil zone for people over 50, but under rank 5 or so...
I reiterate, I want to do the Event Quests in Peace!

Well, you dont get to do that in Cyrodiil. It's a war zone, not a peace zone.

You dont have to like that answer, but you do have to accept it as reality.

Town dailies aren't the only dailies in PvP land. All PvP dailies count towards the event, since it's PvP week. The town dailies are very easy and quick to do, but doing them is not without risk, which imo justifies the ease of completion. If PvP isn't your thing then just skip the current portion of the event. Remember in the last week all dailies will count towards the event.

    Favorite Foods and Potions

    • Parse Food for PvE:(DPS) Ghastly Eye Bowl (increases Max Magicka by 4592 and Magicka Recovery by 459 for 2 hours).
    • Gold/Purple Food for Sorc PvP and Meme Tanking:(PvP) Clockwork Citrus Filet (increases Max Health by 3326, Health Recovery by 406 [useful if stage 1 vampire], Max Magicka by 3080, and Magicka Recovery by 338 for 2 hours). Witchmother's Potent Brew (Increase Max Magicka by 2856, Max Health by 3094, and Magicka Recovery by 315 for 2 hours.
    • Trash Potions when feeling cheap: Regular CP150 Essence of Magicka pots that I obtain frequently from playing the game or Crown Tri-Restoration Potion obtained from dailies.
    • Crafted Potions: Essence of Spell Critical (Bugloss, Lady's Smock, and Water Hyacinth). Without magelight this is my primary means of obtaining Major Prophecy on my Sorc, which increases my Spell Critical Rating. This also heals and restores magicka. Essence of Immovability (Columbine, Corn Flower, and Wormwood). I use this in PvP, since this gives me stealth detection, knockback immunity, and restores magicka (better to use it when competent allies are nearby, since it might reveal that you are surrounded by multiple players in stealth and you will not have an emergency pot available after use). Essence of Invisibility with only 2 ingredients (Blue Entoloma, Namira's Rot, Nirnroot, or Spider Egg). I use this in PvE content that requires stealth and if I need more speed I'll use Rapid Maneuver before using the potion. Essence of Invisibility with 3 ingredients (Blessed Thistle, Blue Entoloma, and Namira's Rot). Very useful in PvP alongside the vampire Dark Stalker passive, since you'll be invisible, ignore movement speed penalty while in Crouch, and you'll have a 30% movement speed boost from Major Expedition (I always have this slotted when riding from point A to B in PvP land, since gankers are always lurking). My templar/arcanist will mostly use Essence of Health (Tri-Stat Potion) Ingredients: (Mountain Flower, Columbine, and Bugloss).

I'm sorry, but this is the Anniversary Event. It goes for 5 weeks and the first 4 each focus on a different aspect of the game:

    1. Crafting
    2. Open world content (world bosses and delves)
    3. PvP
    4. Group content

PvP is part of the game and it should be part of the Anniversary celebration.

If you really don't like PvP, then just stay away. Eat your cake, make gold and buy the pages instead of going after them yourself. Or wait till week 5 and hope you get them all from writs or whatever you prefer to do.

Now, that being said, as others have pointed out, Town dailies aren't the only thing you can do.

You can put a point in the Bounty Hunter passive from the fighters guild and do those dailies.
You can do scouting missions, which, if you pic a map that your alliance dominates take no time at all to do.
You can get 2 or 3 friends together and do the resource capture missions.

Is it annoying to be killed if you are trying to quest? Yes. It's a great way to practice frustration tolerance. If it becomes too much, just go do something else.

Funny story: I was doing town dailies on my EP characters with a couple of guildies, and the town kept being taken over by DC. We decide to stop that, hopped on our DC characters and went into a different campaign to do dailies on the other side of the map, only to find, half way into our quest cycle, that EP was running around the town and killing all the questers. They got bored after a bit and we managed to continue until AD decided they wanted to quest now, so they took the town and we barely managed to hand in the last quests. And it was ok.

I have not said i am not a PvPer. I'm about lvl 25 or so. My PvP character is a Healer (that means i keep all you kill happy people alive) & i currently am not a member of a PvP guild as i have not found another Leader i wish to follow.
My point is that there are many who do not play PvP, Cyrodiil is buggy at best, and now horrendous to get into. Once you finally get in, there are a few groups of people camping the quest hubs, ruining it for the majority.
Monsters in delves are easy. There are LARGE GROUPS OF COOPERATIVE PEOPLE HELPING EACH OTHER do world bosses. Only in Cyrodiil do people go out of their way to try to ruin it for others.

Because Cyrodiil and PvP are part of the game.
And it is related, Abnur is an Imperial from Cyrodiil so his pages are related to Cyrodiil activities
This anniversary event is to celebrate ALL parts of the game.
No one is forcing you to participate.
If you dont want to participate in this part of the event, you can farm gold and buy the Tharn pages

I for one am having fun doing the quests and fighing the ones trying to prey on my faction's questers.
Ive seen a pack of questers kill a couple of gankers/farmers. Sometimes we get a half or full raid camping the town but we just leave them alone a while, they get bored and go away or their que for Vivec pops.
I leave other faction's questers alone unless they attack me or my fellow alliance members first.

OP, if you were losing out on something because one week out of this long even is PvP then what you have to say might carry some weight. Since you are not losing out on anything, more than enough tickets via the other weeks, etc, that this seems to be complaining for the sake of it.

BTW, expect one week next quarter to be PvP specific. You can bet crowns on that.

Why do people feel they have to do every event quests?

Don't like pvp don't do this week quests, it's simple really. If you want the rewards you can farm gold and buy them or buy them with event tickets. There are many ways to get them.

I can never understand this mentality seriously, there are things I don't enjoy doing in this game, like I couldn't bother going around and farming dailies for world bosses so I just skipped that week lol.

It's not about dying I play a hell lot of pvp games whether be it for honor , overwatch or r6 seige but I avoid pvp in this game like plague there are more issues than rather dying.

I am not an elitist. I am helpful to everyone. I go out of my way to gear noobs, answer questions in zone chat etc. I guess i do not get the mentality of people who go out of their way to deliberately try to ruin someone else's experience. During the event couldn't you just all ignore the people trying to get quests done? Must you be so through in your obnoxiousness?
And i reiterate, ZOS why do you deliberately pit the two together? BY THE AMOUNT OF PEOPLE COMPLAINING ABOUT *THESE* TYPES OF THREADS, ITS A COMMON QUESTION. What started this whole thread for me was the frustration of my friends doing the quests with me. Not that i didn't find it frustrating, but two of them just gave up...
During an event, why isn't there the exact same rewards in PvP and PvE zones at the same time?
How about making some quality events specifically FOR PvPers in Cyrodiil. I notice there is a distinct LACK of quality events designed around PvP...

OP, you think that Cyrodiil is bad enough, just wait til you try to do Battleground dailies. Cos let me tell you, as near as I can tell, Group Finder is STILL bugged, which means instances of Battlegrounds are bugged to no end.

I am not chasing the boxes in Cyrodiil. I can craft on 11 characters, then use the gold to buy them. I’m not doing it to avoid fighting (I run Cyrodiil too). I do it to save TIME. I already have all the Abnur pieces now and can do whatever I want the rest of the week.

Well, you dont get to do that in Cyrodiil. It's a war zone, not a peace zone.

You dont have to like that answer, but you do have to accept it as reality.

Well you are not understanding OP issue,

He is right, its ZOS mistake and bad planning.

Many players are just easily getting killed when organized groups are raiding Towns. They are waiting there for PVEr to come and kill them.

They just do for fun or Twitch steaming, same is happening in IC events and ZOS not even bothering to fix this.

This event is giving bad taste of PVP to new players!

If anything it should be teaching new players that they shouldn't set foot in Cyrodiil and expect to get a free pass. That you cant walk in with your full divines gear and expect to do much but die.
Just like in PvE content, a new player is going to have a bad taste if they dont prepare to face what a dungeon/trial has to offer. This is literally no different.
