About two years ago I came to ESO, but before that I played Neverwinter. That game has an invocation system which lets you pick a specific deity for your character and then invoke your selected god's favor. The invocation could be done several times per day with a cooldown in between each ritual and was awarded with a small amount of experience, in-game currencies, as well as a divine blessing that temporarily boosted your character's statistics. I would have liked to paste a video about that system here but unfortunately I couldn't really find a good one (short, on topic, etc.). However, if you want to know more about it, you can still look it up manually. Just google "Neverwinter invocation".
I really like that system. The more of ESO's story content I played, the more I felt like ESO was severely lacking this feature. I mean I played through Cadwell's Gold twice and learned a lot about Tamriel's many different cultures and their pantheons. I really feel like such a system would be a perfection addition to ESO since the Elder Scrolls Universe has more deities than one is able to count. In fact there are so many god-like beings that I think a player should be able to select primary and secondary deities to worship.
Just copy-pasting Tamriel's different pantheons from the wiki page here:
Imperial Pantheon: Akatosh • Arkay • Dibella • Julianos • Kynareth • Shezarr • Mara • Morihaus • Reman • Stendarr • Talos • Zenithar

here's the link where I copied the information from:

While Argonians aren't listed here, we know that they worship Sithis, and their hist trees.
To clarify what I mean with selecting primary and secondary deities, here is an example. As a Dunmer you might pick Azura (daedra) as your primary deity and the Tribunal (mortal gods) as your secondary (even though Azura might hate you for worshiping the three fake gods beside her). Or perhaps you are a follower of Dagoth Ur instead of the Tribunal?
However, considering the main story of ESO, I feel like certain Daedra, such as Molag Bal, Vaermina and Nocturnal should probably not be on the list of worship-able deities (you know, since we play the vestige, who ruins all their plans to shift the power gap between the daedric princes into their favor).
What do you guys think about it? I think it's a neat system which allows for more individual customization and role-play. Perhaps we could even make a world skill line out of it? Not sure about that one, though.
