Any screenshots of Ohmes or Ohmes-raht in game yet?

I pre-ordered Elsweyr this evening. This is exciting!

No Ohmes or Ohmes-raht NPCs sadly, but there is a statue of an Ohmes-raht that you can get as a furnishing.

    50f7c16906.png

And there's also datamined face and body paint called "Tenmar Leopard Face/Body Marks" which look like they could be good for making Ohmes characters. Perhaps they might show up on NPC's in future Elsweyr zones, if they include Ohmes and Ohmes-raht NPCs there.

Now this is the kinda low key sub race stuff zos needs to add

How about in a single player RPG, adding all of those sub races would get really tricky for an MMO
Then people would ask that all types of Argonians be playable.

Now make them a cosmetic skin for Khajiit characters? Sure I don't see why not

THAT DUDE IS HUGE!!! Didn't think ZOS was going to add Cathays in or make them that big. Kinda surprised ZOS is adding in most of the khajiit breeds but over all well done. Lets see if all of them are going to be there.

that's a cathay-raht...we are default khajiit are cathay...do ur homework bruh. but yeah I agree this pic and actually the whole elsweyr makes me even more sad cuz in truth...we should had been allowed from day 1 of the game to choose from a larger variety of breeds...cuz u know..khajiit?...lore?... /clap zos.../clap.

    @xenowarrior92eb17_ESO

The big tall ones are Pahmar-raht. I thought they were Cathay-raht too at first but it looks like they're going with the TES: Legends interpretation instead of the quadruped Jobasha interpretation. It also turns out that the playable Khajiit/standard ESO Khajiit is actually Cathay-raht, unexpectedly, although I suppose maybe shorter height scale ones could be Cathay, but Cathay-raht is at least confirmed. Here's the pictures for both sources:

@Robo_Hobo damn...I wish zos would make a damn chart of Khajiit Biology...that would literally explain the race/breeds/evolution/lifestyle/diet and all that kind in detail...literally guys...you cant answer everything with "if we dont know...then its all MAGIC!"
but yeah nice info...now im even more pissed that I couldn't make 1 when I started playing...imagine my disappointment when I came here it was to make a huge badass cat warrior...and instead I got a fluffy puffy kitten :))

ZOS doesn't make all the lore. And yes there are going to be errors/contradictions. Its up to us to spot them and see if they get explained or corrected.

But as far as their breeds go, its all dependent on the lunar cycles. The phases of the moons determines which breed the newborn (or newborns) will be. The sad part is they don't explain how the moons influences the biology of the child. Unless they all have a common infant stage and their development changes from there.

Imagine sub breeds added to game with slight race tweaks like make a pumar khajiit have say drop the mag and gain back the 8% crit change and more stam as the big brawler. Have tojey be more ninja like old bosmer passives. Ohmes just reskin a bosmer woth new skin options and maybe slight passive tweaks like change out poison resistance for something else.

Toss in argonian and naga make argonians stay same make naga more stam stealthy but not game break op.

Yep, they do start out looking the same, there's 2 sources for this now. One is from that very article that was released with the OP's picture. :)

"All Khajiit are born looking roughly similar, but as they get older, they’ll grow into different forms, depending on when they were born."

But also that old source from Jobasha from the interview with the Three Booksellers out of game Dev RP.

"The phases of Masser and Secunda at birth determine the form a Khajiit takes in life. Khajiti newborns look very similar to one another, with their form becoming clear over several weeks. We are smaller than you humans when we are born, but we grow faster."

It would be nice if there were a book that went into detail about which phase is for which furstock - I know that Jobasha's interview has them all listed, but that's still out-of-game information. I feel it's time for it to be brought in-game.

That would at least give players the option to role-play an ohmes. Make a bosmer, use those markings, tell everyone you're a khajiit. (And on PC maybe use that khajiit dialogue addon.)

So to settle any final doubts anyone could have on what the player Khajiit form is, I tried to copy the appearance of the Khajiit who called herself Cathay-raht as best as I could, but, since she was sitting down, I did too. I couldn't do the same animation, but it's good enough to tell that they're basically the same. Even when I was looking through the pictures I had to double check which one was which.

Here's the pictures and the dialogue again:

    f22f495052.png
    aa2864b0c0.png
    9d1c5895d4.png

Unfortunately, she had a slightly different fur pattern that was inaccessible to the player. She seems to be a bit smaller than my max height Khajiit in those pictures.

Here's some pictures of another Khajiit that was described as Cathay by one of the tall Pahmar-rahts, and then my character standing next to her.

Funnily enough, the "Cathay" is seemingly taller than the Cathay-raht, based on the comparisons to my character, so either she's just a very tall Cathay and Ilarana is short for a Cathay-raht, Inalzin was unable to determine the -raht likeness from a distance due to it largely just being height difference, or he used Cathay as a generalizing term since that's also the case in a couple of other dialogues. In any of those 3 cases, we can determine from that, that Cathay and Cathay-raht height difference isn't that much, so player Khajiit could be either Cathay or Cathay-raht depending on what they choose for the height, I guess, or whatever you decide.

And I've said the word Cathay far too many times in this post, lol.

Hmm... maybe all of this uncertainty about Cathay/Cathay-Raht is intentional by the developers so as to not specifically name the furstock that the player can create. Theres definitely a furstock that is slightly bigger than whats possible in character creation, so if we're Cathay they could be Cathay-Raht, and if we're Suthay-Raht, they could be Cathay.

I think I imagined the Dagi to be a lot smaller than this, something like Daxter from the Jak and Daxter series, especially since the book "Mixed Unit Tactics" mentioned that they can reach the top branches of trees that wouldn't hold up a Bosmer. While they look as though they're smaller than Bosmer, it doesn't really look as though that they'd be that much lighter than them. When first seeing them in the initial trailer I thought these would be Suthay, but oh well.

Out of interest, where can you find those NPC's Ilarana and Sharjo?

They're just Dagi-raht, not Dagi, so the Dagi would still be a little smaller, probably closer to what you were imagining.

Ilarana and her band of merry furstocks are one of the random world events like M'iaq and the Old Orc, so they're in different places, but here's a screenshot of where one of those spawns is:
