No. There is an elder sctolls mobile in development. It is all about microtransactions.

They make you pay to shorten the time it takes to open a chest. All rewards earned are on a timer after earning to open. The better reward earned the longer the wait after earning it to open, unless of course you pay then they shorten the time.

It is the worst of gaming psychological manipulation for profit I have ever seen.

i think you missed the point entirely. OP is asking for an ESO mobile version, so you can play the game (which sounds a bit unrealistic for mobile devices) or, what i think they actually mean, a mobile app to keep track of crafting research, view the crown store, etc.

it would still be ESO, the game of which you are on the forum for, the same Elder Scrolls Online I can safely assume you play and enjoy. not sure what your point about Blades here is supposed to mean, with that in mind.

I did not miss it. I am just convinced Zen would turn ESO into a microtransaction nightmare similar to Blades effectively ruining the game.

why? it would still be the same game. this sounds like a problem that doesn't exist that you've created in your own mind to be honest.

LOL have you not been paying attention to how Zen has been monetizing the game in the crown store?

Yes my reasoning on this may be a bit of a slippery slope but it is far from un-plausible

I wouldn’t put it past ZOS to create a new currency for a mobile platform that you could buy things with or unlock things with, that you buy in packs after you get your first little dose free. Too many mobile games do this.

But thats not what im asking for, so why be against what im asking for?

The monetization schemes for mobile games are always horrible.

But im not asking for that, im asking for what we currently have, on your mobile!! 😉

Look at the current mobile gaming market and development. Especially ES Blades. They study trends, what sells and what doesn’t, they look at the age demographic and figure that into advertising and marketing....it’s naive to think you could copy eso to mobile and it not be influenced by competing mobile games.

Mobile interfaces and the mechanics of play would present another complex set of restrictive command sets on top of those of console controller and kb + m.

I find that ZOS are already making too many gameplay compromises to accommodate both console and PC interfaces to add another set of hugely restrictive systems to this list.

I’d rather they developed an entirely new Elder Scrolls game specifically for the phone, which took advantages of the unique capabilities of phones, rather than try and shoehorn this game onto another platform.

how would a mobile app change their current monetisation plan?

gonna be honest, sounds like you just want to say "no" for the sake of saying no. the fact you admit your reasoning is irrational kinda confirms that for me.

If you think slippery slope is irrational reasoning then you do not understand the concept at all. I never admitted to it being irrational, please do not put words in my mouth.

I admitted to it being conjecture based on opinion not fact. I gave Blades as an example of why I have that opinion.

Also you can stop ascribing a derogatory motive to me. I stated what I meant. I belive they would seek to further monitize the game with methods I consider inappropriate, nothing more or less.

Currently there are already features that we can't get because consoles can't keep up. Imagine how this would be if your phone had to keep up as well. Or would you like it that one new feature from the X update was not available on your phone?
Pretty sure no currently existing phone could manage ESO's housing. Without it, it wouldn't be ESO.

If this is only about research management, then we can talk again, but ESO in its full 80GB glory? No. Zos should invest the money in a more meaningful way instead of trying to work on a mobile version that works.

There are plenty of reasons. Account security, accidental crown purchases by children playing with daddies/mommies phone, bots running programs for the farming you suggested, the amount of in app adds for the crown store, bandwidth issues, performance of the base game being impacted by resources redirected to the mobile platform.....I could go on.

And every one of your arguments isnt valid on PC?!?! 😂😂😂

I explain my concerns, and you don’t counter them, you redirect the discussion? You don’t want a real discussion. You can take your pink jelly phone case and play Candy Crush until you bring real discussion to the table.

I counterd them by stating the obvious, that is every one of your concerns is just as applicable on a PC, accidental crown purchases by kids, can happen on PC just as easily as on a phone, bots easier to do on a PC, bandwidth issues/performance issues, all applicable on your PC, how do you remedy?? Get better hardware, you get my point? I just didnt want to have to spend time spelling it out as i assumed the points were obvious!?

People don't give their PCs to toddler.

I actually don't consider that a valid criticism though.

Likely not worth the effort to develop and maintain for the poor experience. Esp when it would likely only work for PC players, causing a lot of angry players on consoles.

My concern is when games are made to operate on smaller or less powerful devices then that because the benchmark for testing. I want them to push for higher and higher specs and add things like VR head tracking, etc.

It's not the same but I have streamed the game to my phone using nVidia Gamestream and was able to move around and click items by tapping the screen.

Think the current microtransactions are over the top. Prepare because mobile games are beyond predatory and worse they work....

Plus they have Elder Scrolls Blade to take advantage of the mobile gamers cash in the Elder Scrolls area.

Can't stress this enough though mobile gaming is f**ked and i have seen it do some serious damage to people.

Mobile gaming needs to die a thousand deaths and be abandoned forever. it is terrible. If I want to play games I will play them on my PC (or console) as gaming should be. Mobile gaming is nothing but an avenue for greed and exploitation right now.
Playing your character the way your character should play is all that matters. Play as well as you can but never betray the character. Doing so would make playing an mmoRPG pointless.
