Black Desert have done it with huge financial success, over $1 Billion, Mobile MMOs are massively on the up, most modern devices can handle these games now so the ease of access to players makes sense, even more so when you can have cross server linked accounts, at work on your break?? Farm mats, fish, do dailys, writs, play the broker etc!!

I think we can all agree zeni love $$$, now is the time for them to optimize their financial return!!

Just dont add any Auto Play, hate that BS!!!!

There are plenty of reasons. Account security, accidental crown purchases by children playing with daddies/mommies phone, bots running programs for the farming you suggested, the amount of in app adds for the crown store, bandwidth issues, performance of the base game being impacted by resources redirected to the mobile platform.....I could go on.

No. There is an elder sctolls mobile in development. It is all about microtransactions.

They make you pay to shorten the time it takes to open a chest. All rewards earned are on a timer after earning to open. The better reward earned the longer the wait after earning it to open, unless of course you pay then they shorten the time.

It is the worst of gaming psychological manipulation for profit I have ever seen.

i think you missed the point entirely. OP is asking for an ESO mobile version, so you can play the game (which sounds a bit unrealistic for mobile devices) or, what i think they actually mean, a mobile app to keep track of crafting research, view the crown store, etc.

it would still be ESO, the game of which you are on the forum for, the same Elder Scrolls Online I can safely assume you play and enjoy. not sure what your point about Blades here is supposed to mean, with that in mind.

Hmmm. Performance would be a massive issue, as ESO struggles to perform on mid range PCs and current gen consoles.

Controls would be another issue IMO. As even on mouse and keyboard it can require some dexterity, so a small touch screen would be very challenging when in combat and interacting with the world. Game server infrastructure would also need a huge overhaul to boost network performance.

You could argue that it would only be useful for the things you stated, but then would enough people bother to make it worth ZOS’ while?

I’m on the fence on this one.

I think most of the content in ESO could be done on mobile device (really, I think I can play most of this game with toes, especially questing).

So, I actually agree with OP.

While I am against Blizzard's decision to make a mobile Diablo, this is not the case here. Blizzards decision prevents PC players from getting another entry in the Diablo universe, while ESO already has PC client. So there is no disadvantage to us, imo.

I was against mobile gaming for quite a long time, but recently we got a bunch of quite decent old PC games ports there and I start to change my opinion

I wouldn’t put it past ZOS to create a new currency for a mobile platform that you could buy things with or unlock things with, that you buy in packs after you get your first little dose free. Too many mobile games do this.

Agreed, 12 months ago i would have been 100% anti ESO Mobile however, the mobile gaming industy has come on leaps and bounds, Im currently playing Rangers Of Oblivion, is a mixture of ESO and Monster Hunter Online, since playing this it makes it obvious to me that a company the size of Zeni Blizzard etc can really push the boundries when it comes to Mobile gaming!
