Best Patch in Years.

Just wanted to voice my appreciation for this patch.

Numerous pain points were hit on, such as NB having advantages due to native 100% berserk uptime in endgame trials such as vAS, MagDK Dps being severely behind due to being melee and having to compete with Stam, as well as various PvP pain points such as Earthgore and Snipe being hit.

Being a Templar main, I was a little disappointed with the so far changes, but regardless, everything else in the patch gives me so much to look forward to. It’s really shaping out to be the best patch at least since the game launched on console, and I can comfortably say this game is heading in the right direction with Brian leading the Combat team. Keep up the good work.

Also a thanks to all the class reps who have put in countless hours and work to make sure our feedback is heard. We appreciate you!

Can’t wait to test out Stamplar new ult changes on PTS with the new Test dummy!

Sure, they made numerous changes to combat gameplay and to various abilities, but they do that with every major patch.

Whether or not one considers a patch as a good one depends directly on what additions or changes they are hoping happen. Personally, my sole judgement for such things comes from the amount of significant new content gets added. From that perspective, this is the weakest Q2 release in years as it's only bringing the usual formulaic features that come each year. It brings nothing of the magnitude seen in past years like 2017's Player Housing or Battlegrounds or 2018's Outfitting and Jewelry Crafting.

Here's an updated features comparison of all Q1 and Q2 content released in the last few years:

A pattern of diminishing total content added each year is apparent.

From a perspective of total new content added, this is objectively ESO's weakest year in a long time. Likewise, this is the weakest Q2 patch in recent years.

Edit: Updated chart to reflect the latest features listed on PTS (Guild Finder and new alchemy reagents).

No new crafting or game systems for 2019? "Season of the Dragon" would be better named "The Year of no New Major Features"

Templar is easy to use and top-notch magdps now, of course it's best patch. Ah, though magblade main, I have fully-leveled breton magplar too, so I really don't care, what the difference which toon to use in trials.

It's pure crap. I think ZOS has talented devs, but they are constantly twisting and contorting through focus group hoops. The ultra-casuals have completely watered down this game.

ZOS obviously can't balance PVP and PVE together. Separate them.

I'm glad nightblades are finally getting some well deserved attention from the nerf hammer. MagNBs have been dominating PvE and NBs in general are insane in PvP. I just wish stamina DK could get more poison skills and that stamina sorc could get a physical damage ultimate and maybe a spammable.

Yeah I'm happy with the overall direction, though there are still some puzzling changes here and there. Can't wait for this patch to go live.
