Yeah cause the only way to help someone get better is to totally call out how bad they are then kick them.

Yes, this is why Zos disabled metrics in the first place a few years back...you're not using it to improve yourself, you're looking for reasons to kick people.

If you're trying to give an example of why this shouldn't be implemented, you've done a wonderful job with this post...

First off, if someone isn’t performing up to par when there’s 11 other people trying to utilize their time to achieve something, then they have every right to be called out to either improve or kick rocks.

It’s not just their happy little place that they’re screwing up, it’s 11 other people’s time when they could be doing something better with it...

Most people don’t think about that because they’re too embarrassed about themselves when they do something wrong. Either improve or leave..

This attitude is exactly why it'll never work the way you want it to.
Even now, you're not going to get instant feed back..its going to take hours (days?) to get results.
So, either way, your not going to get to call out anyone. It doesn't (and won't) work like that largely because players with attitudes like yours.

So, there you go..sorry to rain on your little toxic parade. You're still not getting what you want...😂

P.S. if you're running HM content without a parse first, and you're complaining about people not carrying their weight, then it's on you for letting those players run with you in the first place. If you're trying to run HM pugs, you get what you get...

I just did a vcr +1 group with a toxic leader who was cursing and calling people out on their F*** ups. Guess what? WE ACTUALLY PROGRESSED and made it to execute when half the people never even completed vcr.. Nothing wrong with the dps though the dps wAS GREAT. But what im saying is combat metrics can help so we can call out whos using trash pots and not having a high up time on target. This is not roleplaying quest shi*t this is end game pve. where all 12 people farmed gears and practiced their rotation, wasted gold to gold out gears, trait change, and have a high raid awareness

Parsing *** mean sh*t. People can hit 60k on target dummies and cant even do their rotation while doing mechanics. Also you can parse high with the 20 weapon power pots you bought but then you go in raid with alliance draught pots with your cheap a**

So...if I'm understanding you right...console badly needs combat metrics to call out people using...trash pots?

    Excuse me for a second

    Hahahahahahahaha.......

    🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Wow. Just.....wow. That has got to be the most bizarre reason to use combat metrics I've ever seen.
I'm done with this silliness...the OP just jumped the shark..

Toxic elite players like the OP don't exist in great enough numbers — let alone *paying* numbers — for Zeni to do anything other than toss them the occasional bone.

Combat Metrics isn't about calling out. It is a tool to analyze what's working and what is not. How are you supposed to progress and get better if you don't know how good you are? First suggestion would be to do a dummy are as raid group. If someone's totally off and needs to train you will be able to see in a dummy parse.

I'm regard of expensive potions, in group which is still struggling with a boss I am totally ok with not wasting gold for potions. In my last vmol run we had some new members including a new off tank and we couldn't beat the twins. I wasted 200 weapon pots. Not worth it. If the problem isn't dps, you don't need weapon pots. You can do more than 35k dps without them.

I don't use weapon pots in dungeons, too. I don't care if I need 17 or 19 minutes. Except dps races, like vCoA2, or hard dlc dungeons. I main a Stam DK and I even offer the group to buff major Brutality/sorcery. Most players like it.

A basic feature could be to add the dummy parse feature to bosses, putting your personal dps only for you to see in the chat box. This would be the minimum and I don't see how it could hurt someone to get this knowledge. Giving a bit of advanced information similar to cmx would help to analyze what could be done better.

Example. I could use cmx to evaluate the influence of rearming trap / minor force to my dps. I changed my rotation to overcast it, because it gave better results than losing uptime in a static rotation. On my Magblade I realized only through cmx, that many of my light attacks didn't go through. I knew that I needed to practice light attack weaving on magicka dps more, because the rhythm I am used to from Stamina dps didn't work as well. If I just had seen that my dps were low, I wouldn't have known where to look.

I think there are other base functionalities and qol improvements on PC, which should be brought to console. Furthermore I think ZOS is aware of the fact and showed it by the new guild store interface and the quest/area guides.

I would like combat metrics for console so I can follow my personal progression on bosses and trash fights, and also keep an eye on buffs and debuffs... because sometimes it is not always clear what went wrong during and then need to go over every buff and debuff from the group whether it is sets, skills, enchants....

Also being able to quickly hotswap gear between fights would great... please ZoS :pensive:

Guess what? One of my guilds has a trials training / progression group for vet trials etc - and do you know what we do if things go *** up? We TALK to each other & discuss what might be going wrong / what to do with mechs / try out different ideas.

And it works. We get stuff done. Without the need for swearing, shaming or blaming. Or combat metrics.
