I think it is just personality types. There are those that feel if it was hard for them it must be hard for everyone. You also have folks who just like grind and you don't get much more grind in this game than mount leveling. I suspect in the PvP world there is some competitiveness involved as faster mounts add to survival chances. Lastly you have groups that always say no to any suggested change just because. So the reaction you received does not really surprise me at all.

You think wrong.
It takes 6 months to develop all riding skills. It's about keeping you subscribed and spending money.
I asked a few of my guilds if they would be bothered if in a latest update, ZoS introduced account wide horse training, and there was an OVERWHELMING YES. So many people would hate this idea, and I don’t know why. Maybe it gives them something to keep coming back to.
Only thing I might know, is it’ll never happen even if developers were so inclined, I guess it would make too many people angry.
What’s your thoughts on this? Stay or go?

If I spun up a new alt for PVP, I would be annoyed that they would be at a major disadvantage for 2 months unless I spent real money so for those people reducing the time makes sense.
Maybe mount training should be like leveling where you progress quicker at lower levels. If you monumentally increased your speed at lower riding levels then increased it somewhat less at higher riding levels, it might help to let people do what they want faster.
For me personally, I just want to he able to interact with the stablemaster while mounted. If I can shop while mounted, why can't I buy a horse?
Shared Riding, its a hard one for me, if the justification works for shared CP, why doesn't it work for Riding skill?

I've never understood this mentality; it's like douchebaggery in distilled form.
Like, if I've gone through something super-hard, I'd be like "wow, I don't wish that on anyone else." Why would anyone actively advocate for someone else to go through what that person thought was excruciating? You see this in hospitals all the time; residents are expected to work on no sleep for multiplie shifts because "that's how training's always been done" - even though having residents deal with patients on no sleep is an excellent way for patients to get terrible/incorrect/negligent care.
