Greetings gentlemen of Zenimax, Maintenance at 8:00 AM UTC?
I can't understand that these maintenance are carried out that can be extended until 8:00 PM UTC here in Europe, it would not be the first time, I understand that in the United States if it is more normal since there they should be sleeping, but here we are awake and Many of us play at this time. Would not it be easier to start your maintenance at 4:00 UTC (for example) to not bother with these eternal maintenance?

LOL, it has been broken since the start (give or take a few times it worked). Don't get your hopes up.

I actually prefer server is down while I'm at work rater than during the night then I might want to play.
They should however adjust the daily reset time to daylight saving, more time for crafting writs and perhaps some farming in the morning.

Yes but during the winter it reset 07:00 central European time, during summer its 08:00, and yes changing it to very early in the morning is nice for morning sessions of play.Androconium wrote: »I actually prefer server is down while I'm at work rater than during the night then I might want to play.

They did.
Maintenance used to Start at 8PM local time. Now it's 6PM start. We lose an hour in both hemispheres.

Oh me.
Oh my.
Oh Lippeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.
You left out the other 65% of the world's other Timezones, you ignorant slug.
Gentlemen? What sexist 1950's country club are you living in?
Grow some awareness; come back later with a sensible post.

08:00 UTC might be usual early morning in Europe (earliest 9AM in Portugal and UK), but is noon in Moscow and evening in Vladivostok (Russia), that includes Australia and the whole of Asia. And by the time the server is up is already midnight and "next day" on all those countries.
Which means many of those people won't have server access for more than "two days", if we factor in that they actually go to school and work. Time of which quite many have paid ESO+ also for nothing.

and I guess it's none of your business. You don't know what happens in peoples' lives.
Go ahead and tell me, if you ever need an EMT, Nurse or Doctor, if your house is ever on fire, if you ever get assaulted, that people only work days. That would be funny wouldn't it! Some of us have been up all damn night taking care of your loved ones and still NEED TO stay awake all day to be here for our own.
Further to that, tell me about the people I know personally who have cancer and other sicknesses who use ESO as pain management and their only way to socialise.
You don't know everything, and to paint the World with that tiny brush like you just did, says everything about you and nothing about anyone else.

So when do you want maintenance? I bet that it doesn't matter which hour they do it, there will always be someone complaining.
You know, time zones, people working in shifts, bums, working folk. Any time if the day there is always someone who wants to play.

Easy tiger, he did say "most people". So, what would be your solution to when maintenance is applied, because somewhere someone in the world is going to fit into your categories above?

I don't have one - and I don't need one. You just wait, that's all. However: No one needs some memer all *GuEsS yOu dOn'T gO To sChOoL oR wOrK tHeN* especially given that they themselves are posting on the forum - which is not school or work last I checked.

Well it's easy to make assumptions, isn't it? For example, I am at work now but also on the forums, how? because I run my own business and have the freedom and flexibility to do so. His generalisation was inaccurate just as your's was to be fair. At the end of the day you're right, we just wait and that's that. Why it takes so long is anyone's guess, especially as there are no patch notes to guide us.

The only players affected would be those from the American continent on the -5 and lower timezones since the server could go down at 10pm. Still during prime time. But how many of them are playing in the EU server?
