Greetings gentlemen of Zenimax, Maintenance at 8:00 AM UTC?
I can't understand that these maintenance are carried out that can be extended until 8:00 PM UTC here in Europe, it would not be the first time, I understand that in the United States if it is more normal since there they should be sleeping, but here we are awake and Many of us play at this time. Would not it be easier to start your maintenance at 4:00 UTC (for example) to not bother with these eternal maintenance?

If they fix the dungeon finder they can take all week! It would be nice to extend the anniversary event to make up for loss of play time though.

LOL, it has been broken since the start (give or take a few times it worked). Don't get your hopes up.

Welcome on the not premium server of Elder Scroll Online.
Zenimax could not care less about european player and their playing time, i think only the oceanic are less considered.

So, just start to be used to maintenance run or server restart, or even patch testing, on prime time and enjoy the rest of the grame

Guess you don't work or go to school then. At 8:00 Am UTC most of us have to do that instead if playing games in the EU.

I actually prefer server is down while I'm at work rater than during the night then I might want to play.
They should however adjust the daily reset time to daylight saving, more time for crafting writs and perhaps some farming in the morning.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

    They did.

Maintenance used to Start at 8PM local time. Now it's 6PM start. We lose an hour in both hemispheres.

08:00 UTC might be usual early morning in Europe (earliest 9AM in Portugal and UK), but is noon in Moscow and evening in Vladivostok (Russia), that includes Australia and the whole of Asia. And by the time the server is up is already midnight and "next day" on all those countries.
Which means many of those people won't have server access for more than "two days", if we factor in that they actually go to school and work. Time of which quite many have paid ESO+ also for nothing.

Yes but during the winter it reset 07:00 central European time, during summer its 08:00, and yes changing it to very early in the morning is nice for morning sessions of play.

Still need to do crafting writs in morning Tuesday :) with picking up writs the day before its 9 days with writs.

So when do you want maintenance? I bet that it doesn't matter which hour they do it, there will always be someone complaining.

You know, time zones, people working in shifts, bums, working folk. Any time if the day there is always someone who wants to play.

and I guess it's none of your business. You don't know what happens in peoples' lives.

Go ahead and tell me, if you ever need an EMT, Nurse or Doctor, if your house is ever on fire, if you ever get assaulted, that people only work days. That would be funny wouldn't it! Some of us have been up all damn night taking care of your loved ones and still NEED TO stay awake all day to be here for our own.

Further to that, tell me about the people I know personally who have cancer and other sicknesses who use ESO as pain management and their only way to socialise.

You don't know everything, and to paint the World with that tiny brush like you just did, says everything about you and nothing about anyone else.

To your question, you should choose a time when there are not so many people online, an example would be about 3:00 or 4:00 am UTC, since those hours do not usually have so many people in addition to extending that maintenance is not lengthens all day with such maintenance. Other times maintenance has lasted almost all day for various problems, not to mention the problems that often suffer steam players.

Well it's easy to make assumptions, isn't it? For example, I am at work now but also on the forums, how? because I run my own business and have the freedom and flexibility to do so. His generalisation was inaccurate just as your's was to be fair. At the end of the day you're right, we just wait and that's that. Why it takes so long is anyone's guess, especially as there are no patch notes to guide us.

I am at work. And thankfully i have enough freedom t. And yes i sometimes work during the night because i can so i can play games if i want to during the day.

But just because you can play now (and want to apperantly) doesn't mean another time is a better time to do maintanance. Because guess what?

There might be people working now, or are sick and sleeping who wake up at other times and want to play when you want maintanance.

Do maintanance after i had my playtime
    Selfish at it's best here.

Is not rocket science. Around 03:00 UTC for the EU server only . Let the NA server running until normal times.

03:00 UTC well past midnight in Europe (5am+ from next year on many countries who will stay in permanent summertime), noon in Asia & Oceania. Even if you shut the server down for 8 hours like today, it will be up by noon, to evening everywhere on UTC+X zones. Even Australia with UTC+10 would be up and running by 21:00, and even Kamchatka Krai (UTC+12) would be still 23:00. (though is better play in NA server on that timezone). Same applies to South America, which will see the server going down at around 11pm at worse case. (Except Colombia & Peru).

The only players affected would be those from the American continent on the -5 and lower timezones since the server could go down at 10pm. Still during prime time. But how many of them are playing in the EU server?

Yeah, because in Europe there are no people working in shifts. Oh wait, there are. And some of them come home around 5 am and want to play. Just like people coming home from a dayjob.
