When was the last time the limit was increased? Isn't it due for a increase?

There's so much more mats now - style stones, jewellery mats..

Nah, OP is right. There are much more materials and set items in the game now, the base number of slots should be increased.

I do have ESO+, but I will definitely not activate it on my second account.

    Bank: 240 --> 300
    Inventory: 200 --> 240
2 more storage boxes (60 and 30 slots)
    Characters worth mentioning:

Dragybor - Stamblade - Redguard - PvE (first char)

so stupid question, but if i create a second account for my ps4 and start a character on it to simply open up more storage and send all my extra stuff to it, would that be against any rules? My current account is completely maxed for all storage.

It's not against the TOS to have a second account to play on and/or send items to.

Craft bag? O.o. Sry but no! Yes It seems ZOS force us to use craft bag, but this is to me is the monthly fee and I don't want to pay monthly fee for convenient inventory management. I use 2 great addon on PC. Without that addons I would have left the game a long time ago. Usually when I feel the compulsion, pressure to pay, I take break and try other game.

Serious question: What is enough storage space? How much do they need to increase the limit by so that the people who constantly struggle with full bank/inventory/house chests won't have that problem any more?

Or is it a case of the amount of stuff being kept increasing to fill the space available, meaning that no matter what ZOS does (short of letting players store an infinite number of items) this problem will always come up?

I'm not against increasing the amount of storage space, I just don't necessarily think it's a solution to the problem if the previous increases haven't helped. IMO it would be better to look at other solutions like reducing the number of items players feel they need to keep.

Of course the current situation is ideal for ZOS - they create a problem and then people pay them to sort-of fix it temporarily (whether that's paying a sub for the crafting bag or buying bank upgrades and chests or even buying additional accounts to use as storage). But while we're discussing it amongst ourselves I'd prefer to consider solutions that work for players rather than increase profits for ZOS.

If you want convenient features without paying for it, you're a bit out of luck. Someone from ZOS mentioned that only a fraction of the player base has maxed out inventory/ bank spaces a while ago. So I guess they won't increase it anytime soon.

Creating a second account, like already mentioned, isn't too expensive but it's also not super convenient. I'm already annoyed by logging in on my several mules, even tho Inventory Insight at least spares me the search for a specific item.

    It's a valid point.

For sure I don't agree that each time you upgrade your bank it gets more expensive, I see why they do it with the individual pack space on each toon because it teaches you, to some extent about managing your pack space, but even then it gets too expensive, too quickly.

I'm looking at 40k+ to get my main up from 180 to 190 for example which is ridiculous. I don't see why there is an increment with the bank space, slots is slots and this is account wide storage.

Having said that - if you make effort to train your horse everyday and increase the pack slots there, it's really not that bad. I'm a writ-doer, so all my horses get done daily, with my writs.

I agree with the OP. The problem is not even with the crafting materials. Even with the craft bag all the new events result in an endless pile of motifs/feathers/berries etc. they (companions' style pages) can't even be banked which is so silly!

It's very difficult to play at all without the craft bag. I have a second gt/toon that I created for a specific purpose that I didn't plan to level or play. I had no intention of paying for another ESO+ sub. Then I wanted it to do crafting writs and leveled it enough for that. What a nightmare! Trying to manage runes, food and alchemy ingredients, metals, and wood without a craft bag is ridiculous. This toon doesn't even do jewelry because I'm not buying Summerset again. Anyway, I caved and got the subscription. As long as I actively play this toon I'll keep it up. I admit to being unwilling to work out a solution another way, as I'm sure plenty of people manage to play without ESO+. I'm on console so no helpful addons. ZoS has indeed figured out how to create a problem and sell the solution - to a lot of suckers like me.

The problem could be easily solved by give each alternative toon its own main bank space of 200 slots. Its really limiting having a shared bank account of 200 when you have 8+ toons you play and need to keep adjusting items and sets.

Also has anyone got this issue these last few weeks (I'd swear since the database upgrade) where items don't properly stack in your bank? Half the time when dropping stackable items in my bank, they just take a new slot and I have to manually drag them to stack.

The very best option for us and ESO is converting extra CPs to bank space or inventory space.

Like every 10 CPs we can get 1 extra inventory slot. That's not that much yet that would add some incentive to play on

First, it is more likely Zos will add storage space via ESO+ than to the base game. I think this is pretty obvious and anyone who understand this is a business and revenue is important get this concept.

Second, I have suggested an armory many times. This would be ESO+ will be bottomless like the crafting bag and accept all bound armor. This alone would greatly increase our storage space as those of us at or near max capacity are mostly filled with armor.

    So there is the solution.

Upgrade your bank first, max is 480 and get more storage boxes, there is still plenty of room for you.

    Bank: 480
    Inventory: 200
    Storage: 4x60 + 4x 30 -> 360

You can still get storage for 250 items  But i agree with OP and you, a little adjustment of the base value wouldnt hurt.

That is one of the worst options. Just leave CP alone. It needs to stay as a way to level a character, not turned into an inventory grindfest.

ESO+ and create mule alts. Each alt can hold 200. Plus the inventory chests. A person can also create a guild for another 400 ish slots.

I think the bank space really could be a bit more... 250/500 at least, 300/600 would be even better with all the new things (sets, motiv pages, furniture recipes, etc.) we might want to bank... Either that, or add more perks like the crafting bag - I especially would like to see an account wide "furniture bag" for example...

Guild banks could -definitely- get some more enlargement options, especially if they make it "guild projects" - have every member contribute large numbers of low-quality crafting stuff that they usually would toss like thousands of "ta" runes to upgrade the guild bank to a larger size (say, each project adding 50 slots, up to twice the current size...)? (And maybe also allow small "circle of friends" guilds to unlock their banks with a crown token instead of having to add strangers just for the perk?)

Other then that... the character inventory is large enough I daresay; I would much rather see them give up options to reduce the clutter!
    Like...
...removing -every- disguise and replacing it with a costume of the same visuals when the quest it is used for is completed. (just like with the "Scarlet Judge", only retroactively. And also... start dividing costumes into various categories to make finding the one you want easier, please!)
...allowing us to deconstruct that stealable "civilian clothing" for a chance of learning the visuals for the outfit system (we have "clothing" options there anyhow with the prisoner outfit, so it really would not be a stretch to add to that, right?)
...larger stack sizes would also be grand, it is so annoying to have multiple stacks of the same potions, soul gems, lockpicks, whatever... why not a hefty stack instead like with the crown poison?
...and give us some option to trade in festival consumables! Who needs those consumable mudballs once we get the pouch, right? Or other consumable/memento... But, if we could trade them, say, one stack for one extra event ticket or something...

    ...

BtW, another QoL thing I would love to see... expend the same "visual clue" system that shows us which piece of gear we have not researched the trait of and distinguishes "ornate" and "intricate" pieces for their proper use to all the recipes and motivs... I mean, sure, they say in the descriptions if we have learned it or not, but do you have ANY idea how hard that is on the eyes, looking at all of those when a simple "!" could show us which ones in the long list in our inventory we have not learned on that character???

Another thing that would be useful is adding a "learned for outfit system" line to the descriptions, so we could see if we have already learned this one on -any- character or not yet when we browse guild stores hunting for our perfect looks...

One man's junk is another man's treasure after all. I don't think infinite, there's a little tiny bit of management necessary. I'd be happy with the current setup, if it were not so damned expensive to upgrade space after a certain amount.

You see, as someone mentioned earlier, people with hoarding mentality won't ever have enough space, since they tend to fill out any space they are given in record time.

Basically, what people here are saying:

      We WANT:
      -to craft
      -to collect stuff
      We DON'T WANT:
      -to pay

Newsflash - this game is not all about crafting and/or collecting. You can play the game without it, it is just convenience.
And that is exactly what devs should capitalize on: convenience. Nobody wants to see this game become P2W since history tells us P2W games soon become ghost towns.

      This is to true.

Before the crafting bag I had little space available. Once the crafting bag was added to the game I had tons of space that was freed up.

It did not take long to fill that space up. When Zos doubled my bank space and then added those chests the same thing happened.

So yes, the same thing happened. I horded.

But my solution of the armory is a great idea because it would be another great ESO+ perk and would totally eliminate storage issues for subscribers.
