which resource hireling? and how high is your skill in that resource? please be more specific so other people can confirm the issue.
if you have for example a woodworking hireling and your woodworking skill is low, you'll be sent low mats until you unlock the higher level crafting mats by spending skill points.
my blacksmith hireling was sending me iron, until i spent a skillpoint to use steel - i was then sent steel. when i upgraded to be able to use orichalcium, i started recieving orichalcium. same with cloth/leather and hides/leather
if you dont have the skill to use the materials, they wont send them to you - so if you were hoping to buy a hireling on an alt and get free high level mats every day, without levelling the crafting skill, you'll be sorely dissapointed.
Been this way since launch. The resource hireling is supposed to deliver me resources every 24 hours. Currently it delivers me something every 2-3 days. That and the fact it only usually gives me 3-4 pieces of scrap makes this skill COMPLETELY useless. Is there ANY ETA when this will be fixed?
I have submitted 2 bug reports that my provisioning hireling delivers empty containers. No response yet, but it makes the skill pretty pointless.

For me, the hireling doesn't send you mail after 24 hours. He sends you mail 24 hours after the last time you received/opened the previous delivery.
It's been like clockwork since I realized this - if I get/open hireling mail at 9pm, I won't get the next set until 9pm the next day.
I have had at least 3 of my enchanting containers end up with nothing inside...I have mailed support 2x about this with no one getting back to me...WTF is this so called support, answer your mails Zenimax, get back to the subscriber about this...how hard can it be to fix this...the system is there just fix it, worry later about changing it
