Not so much, but maybe I should more often. Sometimes I forget that I created an entire worldwide event and huge community solely built around playing Splatoon drunk. We even had shirts. Met tons of amazing friends that way.
I'll leave that in someone else's hands for ESO, though.
Drinking kills my stomach and my soul. Smoking makes me choke. Not to mention, the only actual "high" I got off smoking during my college years had me binge-eating half a pumpkin pie, then falling asleep in the middle of a really loud movie. Booooring.
I play "under the influence" - but I haven't been "drunk" in about 20 years.
I think there's a big difference between being "drunk" and just having a few.
When I just have a few beers my reaction time is just ever so slightly less. No big deal for 90% of the game. I mean how much reaction time do you need to do writs on 8 characters or grind for hour after hour.
In fact I can't really imagine leveling a new character 100% sober.
I haven't drank in a few years aside from tasting cocktails or new beers at work (I'm a bartender), however, I lost my job a few weeks ago and my partner and I hopped off (back on?) the wagon for a week. I played while a little tipsy a couple of times after some wine, but then we got a bottle of whiskey. Let's just say that I couldn't keep track of my character who suddenly had a twin copying her every move and ended up with the spins as a result of trying.
Canadian here, and we are marijuana positive coast to coast.
Now This One finds some fine herb oil to be most pleasant when riding and harvesting along the beaches. It makes me appreciate the effort that went into the ambient sound in this game even more. Headphones recommended.
I don't drink alcoholic beverages or use any mood altering substances. I only drink filtered water and raw cocoa with soy and no sugar. Due to my anxiety disorder I cannot take stimulants. For some reason the soy hot chocolates give me a buzz but they don't overstimulate me. Too much boring information? Yep I agree but it's true so.....
I imagine if I was drunk I couldnt play and would die a lot.
"The red pill and its opposite, the blue pill, are a popular cultural meme, a metaphor representing the choice between:
Knowledge, freedom, uncertainty and the brutal truths of reality (red pill)
Security, happiness, beauty, and the blissful ignorance of illusion (blue pill)"
Insight to Agree to Awesome Ratio = 1:6.04:2.76 as of 1/25/2019
Compared to people that I've ignored = I am 18% more insightful, 20% less agreeable, and 88% more awesome.
Other: I always have about a liter of wine in the evening. Am I drunk? Nope. Am I even half-lit? Hell no. But in Utah, I am over the limit. Not that I go anywhere.... I don't. I do all my drinking at home (so the only thing I'm risking is falling over the dog *sigh*....)
But by evening when I have wine with dinner and so on, I'm also not in game. So the answer is actually no - because I don't play the game after 4pm or so.... and I start wine after that.
I don't drink while playing, but I do log in drunk sometimes when I come home from a night out. I've tried playing high as well, but that's less enjoyable for some reason (not that playing drunk is really enjoyable either, it's just too confusing to be productive in either state).
I absolutely PvP better under a small to moderate amount of alcohol. It calms you just enough to stay focused and relaxed during battle which is key to being good at PvP. Also you don’t get triggered by everything.
