so for a NON pvp-er, what are the easiest daily quests to do - i have 00000 experience what there even is as i never engaged in any pvp..?

ps: Abnur Tharn's new outfit from Elsweyr looks SO much better than his old - why can't we get this one??

I'll be honest, I usually don't PvP because I suck at it but I went into Cyrodiil for the other event and it's fun! You can just do the quests at the hubs if your faction controls them and never engage in PvP, but I gotta tell ya running with a group and sieging towers is fun fun fun!!!

    QFT What a mess

    This.

The fact that we are getting only a 2 day warning about the official start date and time about this event to prepare our inventory and anything else needed for the event is the type of problem we are referring to when we say LACK OF COMMUNICATION is a problem.

It's not like the date of ESO's anniversary is a grand mystery...

(Also, the Anniversary was already previewed on the PTS, so the 5 weeks and which dailies were granting boxes weren't a mystery either to anyone who pays attention to the PTS. There's a reason I posted my guide about unlocking ALL the dailies a week or so ago in March.)

No other event had the same start as its previous year. There was zero reason to think this one would, especially just coming off a prior event only 2 days ago.

    Also:
-not everyone reads the forums everyday and i would bet most dont read them at all, leaving your guide to be seen by less then 1% of the population.
-not every one has room for both live and pts on their pcs.
-this has been a theme with them not releasing info until just days before events start.

ZERO excuses why they cant have this stuff planned and written out a month or even few weeks ahead of time and posted in there news section of the website.

I was lucky and started to plan for this event months before you even released your guide. I have slowly been collecting dailies for a long time to not face burn out when this event hit. I have been trying to stock 17 dailies on every character and made a good dent in my plan to the point where ill be turning in around 3,800 dailies during this event with little to no effort out side my normal routine of daily writs.

    https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/161Os3cvLptrakHhJ5WiHRhw1hkJ0QF58oVrNFrL_gTs/edit#gid=0

My point still stands though.Lack of communication is an issue and is always last minute to the point were i think they do it on purpose for some of these events. We have asked over and over again for them to be better on this issue and though they say they know its a problem and they are working on it, we still find them wanting.

There is also that one board quest for information gathering. It's literally just run to a location (being sure to be sneaky a little just in case) and pressing a button. I would recommend joining the non-cp campaign as well.

If you want to take advantage of this event and squeeze out a few more rewards, Do your writs on April 3rd & May 1st BUT DONT TURN THEM IN until the next day. This way you can do them twice and get double the rewards! Also if you can do your writs before 10am on the next weeks start date you can sneak in another day of writ rewards as well. This practice can be applied to each type of daily quests as well. Happy anniversary all!

Thank you Zen - thank you so so so much for not requiring us to complete a quest to get tickets every day!!

    So much better!! THANK YOU!!

So burned out from events right now I don't even login for the daily reward sometimes I'm so sick of feeling I have to "login and do this thing every time."

Logging in to eat cake and get 2 tickets - I CAN DO THAT!!

    Thank you!

Each week for the first four weeks, you’ll be encouraged to participate in a different activity for special rewards. Each time you complete one of the week’s daily activities, you’ll earn an Anniversary Jubilee Gift Box, containing rare crafting ingredients (even Aetheric Ciphers!), recipes, and on occasion, an Outfit Style page for almost any motif in the game, including Worm Cult Style. However, each unique week also has a chance to grant you a specific new Outfit Style. Finally, on the fifth week, all the previous activities and rewards are up for grabs, allowing you to catch up!

So those of us who have had to switch servers and were thinking this would be a 5-week grind (to end all grinds) in order to catch up on all the needed motif pages we are missing in an effort to start doing master writs are completely out of luck, eh?

    Kinda sucks, gotta say.

The real good news is the fact that this is the only event of this quarter. Honestly enough was enough, we only had a 2-days break between TG/DB event and Jester's Festival and now just a single day between the 2 events. We basically had 1 full month of this running and 5 more weeks are coming.

Events are a nice distraction from your routine. When they become routine themselves something is wrong.

It's the only event this quarter, but takes up more then a quarter of that quarter.

Do the daily town quests. They usually don't have you do any PVP. You either have to kill something (NPC's) or just pick up a quest item. Super simple and fast to do.

You can expect gank squads in towns though awaiting for unaware PvErs trying to get or turn their daily. This is going to be messy.

that'd be fun, but then you'd end up spending half your time running around to get skyshards for skill points so that you can keep swapping the spells & morphs in & out on the hotbars to level 'em...but that wouldn't be so bad...

I'm very happy that we have reached the 5 years mark. Impressive work; players, devs and ZoS team members. Game has its ups and downs but I'm glad it's growing, attracting new players. Let's celebrate together!

By the way, I would recommend staying away from the dungeons during the event to keep your sanity. Response times, ping rate, lag spikes. Let's hope it gets better this time.

    Thanks a lot, @anadandy

That’s really a huge relief! I have, along with an AU friend, been trying to recover from the migration. Since server transfers aren’t an option, this event was the way we planned to get back up to our former selves. Much appreciated for the info and link!

LOL. If you don't want to get ganked, there's an easy, easy solution.

Don't queue up for a PVP zone.

Ganking and fighting around the towns that are PVP-enabled is a perfectly valid part of PVPing in a PVP zone. If someone's life is made miserable by PVP in a PVP zone, I'd suggest that someone take a long look at why they decided to queue up for a PVP zone and expected to not get involved in PVP.

I've got two responses for anyone who hates PVP and wants the Anniversary boxes for Week 3.
