Skyshards allow you to put skillpoints into lines you have leveled regardless of what line they are in. You still have to do the work to get the line itself.

Lorebooks and Psijic rifts and dungeon achievements are HOW you unlock those skill lines. Without collecting lorebooks or closing rifts or doing dungeons, you won't level that guild line and thus wouldn't have access to that guild's skills.

Honestly, I'd be fine with everything in there. Especially if it means free DLC due to all the revenue from people leveling alts. Why should I care how others level their alts?

No, but they probably should lighten the requirements for the skill lines, simply so they can, in the future add another 'explore the map' skill line without the game becoming insanely tedious.

IE

Psijic - Have it so you can [Persuade] through some of the quest line, ie "Can't you get an apprentice to go seal those". You can't skip the ones that require you run in certain directions, you can't skip the final quest. You don't get a guild level for skipping, but you do get the XP of any level skipped when you complete the entire quest line. If you skipped, you have to wait 24 hours before the next quest becomes available, to simulate the apprentice you persuaded sealing the breaches, and also as a penalty for you. Those that want the quest line asap, should do it themselves.

Mages Guild - Have it so you can craft Mages guild book shelves, very expensive. Diminished XP, the XP you get from the book shelf is less than if you had of found them out in the field. However, collecting all books, and building a shelf for all of them, would net you a full 10 levels. Or perhaps 9, requiring the player to do some Public Dungeons.

Sure, I mean what the hell, let's just put fully leveled, fully unlocked CP 160 toons in the crown store for sale and skip all the microtransactions. If someone doesn't want to play to finish a toon why not just let them throw handfuls of cash instead. Could do that for all the endgame content as well, just purchase a no-death speed run for X crowns, get your skin, woohoo. Then people could have fun just sitting in front of the transaction window instead of playing the game at all. /rant

The stream was a few minutes ago. They said it will be per character and it will be just skyshards zone achievements at first and IF it goes well they MAY allow already earned skill lines like Psijic Order to be purchased for alts.

They said it was a possibility. Probably for the reasons why I said no (which they did kind of answer). My issue was because of something that I didn't think about in the Skyshard thread, which was gifting them. Which was a clear no.

So my problems with it are fine. People aren't swindled out of crowns. Sucks we can't change answers after the fact.

Oh yes, and eso main quest that’s mandatory on each alt too, what’s the point of doing the same quest for each new toon.

That's literally the point of playing a game, actually playing it.

People want to pay money to not play a game which is silly because you can just not play it … for free.
