Should unlocking and levelling Psijic skill lines be availble in crown store too like skyshards?

For Elsweyr update.

It’s a pain to do the same quest, same portal closing in each zone for alt character. It feels like a punishment for buying summerset dlc to be honest.
So why not make it the same as skyshards that’ll be available for purchase via crown store?

Yes, or even have some rule like if done quest 3 times in game, just have it automatically applied to future characters for any quest. So we won’t have to repeat the same quests like a punishment.

Skyshards allow you to put skillpoints into lines you have leveled regardless of what line they are in. You still have to do the work to get the line itself.

Lorebooks and Psijic rifts and dungeon achievements are HOW you unlock those skill lines. Without collecting lorebooks or closing rifts or doing dungeons, you won't level that guild line and thus wouldn't have access to that guild's skills.

It doesn't give any advantage, I see no problem. I mean, you can still do it on the old fashioned way, it's just a time saver.

Honestly, I'd be fine with everything in there. Especially if it means free DLC due to all the revenue from people leveling alts. Why should I care how others level their alts?

I've done it on most of the characters I'd actually play.

It was tedious towards the end but what I hated was that it forced me to start the Summerset story. That kind of makes sense given the respective storylines but it puts all of those characters out of order in their experience of the game's story - which it's shining star.

No, but they probably should lighten the requirements for the skill lines, simply so they can, in the future add another 'explore the map' skill line without the game becoming insanely tedious.

IE

Psijic - Have it so you can [Persuade] through some of the quest line, ie "Can't you get an apprentice to go seal those". You can't skip the ones that require you run in certain directions, you can't skip the final quest. You don't get a guild level for skipping, but you do get the XP of any level skipped when you complete the entire quest line. If you skipped, you have to wait 24 hours before the next quest becomes available, to simulate the apprentice you persuaded sealing the breaches, and also as a penalty for you. Those that want the quest line asap, should do it themselves.

Mages Guild - Have it so you can craft Mages guild book shelves, very expensive. Diminished XP, the XP you get from the book shelf is less than if you had of found them out in the field. However, collecting all books, and building a shelf for all of them, would net you a full 10 levels. Or perhaps 9, requiring the player to do some Public Dungeons.

Sure, I mean what the hell, let's just put fully leveled, fully unlocked CP 160 toons in the crown store for sale and skip all the microtransactions. If someone doesn't want to play to finish a toon why not just let them throw handfuls of cash instead. Could do that for all the endgame content as well, just purchase a no-death speed run for X crowns, get your skin, woohoo. Then people could have fun just sitting in front of the transaction window instead of playing the game at all. /rant

The stream was a few minutes ago. They said it will be per character and it will be just skyshards zone achievements at first and IF it goes well they MAY allow already earned skill lines like Psijic Order to be purchased for alts.

They said it was a possibility. Probably for the reasons why I said no (which they did kind of answer). My issue was because of something that I didn't think about in the Skyshard thread, which was gifting them. Which was a clear no.

So my problems with it are fine. People aren't swindled out of crowns. Sucks we can't change answers after the fact.

I'd prefer they just changed the way you acquired the skill lines. No idea why they managed to nail the FG skill line and how you get those levels, but made the mage, psijic and latter part of the DB skill lines a truly awful experience as far as having fun in games is concerned.

That's literally the point of playing a game, actually playing it.
