Maintenance for the week of April 6:
• PC/Mac: No maintenance – April 6
We are currently investigating connection issues some players are having on the European megaservers. We will update as new information becomes available.

    I ... I don't think I will be.
ESO just doesn't have that Elder Scrolls feel; the completely open system where you can choose how your powers behave and what spells you can affix to things.

Enchantment runes seem pretty weak... sure, 9 points of lightning sounds great, until you realize that the target has average 750hp.
Food items are anemic, cannot be used in conjunction, and the crafting materials glut an inventory storage system that's far too small. Potions are too weak to be effective when they're needed - in the thick of battle.

And everything goes back to the 'Bank' - it starts out FAR too small, and at it's maxed level it's still FAR too small and too expensive to upgrade. I've got 4 mules just to manage my crafting, and the market is so badly implemented it's not even worth the bother.

    Yeah... I won't be renewing.

Visually it's a nice world - it isn't tooned to death or filled with so man flashing effects you can't see what's going on. Gathering is straightforward and logical.

    Everything else is pants.
Life is like a pack of wolves -

If you don't face it head on it'll come at you from all sides and rip your throat out.

Not to mention people dealing with their bank and/or inventories turning up empty. I like your comments about the "wide open" feel of TES games up until now, and I agree that bugs, inventory restrictions, bank restrictions, and other obstacles definitely feel like restraint. I felt like the beta was trying to work out those issues -- I know the bank/bag size was a huge complaint for at least a good number of users, if not the majority, throughout the beta.

Dude, you can barely cobble together a sentence, but your first post in this thread came out swinging with insults to my intelligence and vacuous charges that I was factually incorrect. As a bonus, bragging about not having any lines of credit. That's just really, really sad.
I can coherently string sentences together with applicable syntax pretty fine, especially for a person who has such difficulties with cognition as I do. Also, it is sad not wanting to borrow money from banks? Explain your logic. A lot of your text contain fallible word play, for instance I was not bragging. I dislike people like you who feel the need to spin spurious tangents in order to win debates. Whether or not something is implied is dependent on the originator, not the recipient, if you inferred it as bragging then that;'s your problem, but I think you highlighted it as such to fit your argument, or insult as it is which follows.

I want to say that I'd keep going, because I've been looking forward to TESO for a long time. Even bought the digital Imp Edition over a month ago, directly from them.

    BUT....

--in beta, I hit roadblocks at level 7 on three different factions, due to bugged quests that blocked my progress, so I never hit that "game starts getting good at level 10" sweet-spot

--lost two of the five early access days (yes, they were credited, but offline stuff kept me offline during the extension, so pfft, that's gone)

--only got to level 8, thanks to the end of early access, so I still haven't hit the point where everyone says the game starts to get good

--now, I can't even set up a subscription so that I can play even though I bought it directly, over a month ago. Canned responses by email and NO responses by phone. It's now Thursday and I still can't access the game that I directly (aka. stupidly) gave Zenimax $80 for. Lesson learned.

EASIEST DECISION EVER: Can't continue a subscription since I can't even set it up to begin with! Thanks Zenimax, gods only know what I'd have done if I'd had to face that decision on my own!!! *swoon/faint* Now would you mind giving me my F'ing money back???? :\
04/10/14 - Bought digital Imp Edition directly on 3/5/14. Hadn't been able to play since launch.
Finally got a callback email after 62+ hrs. Asked for a refund. Got a 1-day code instead. -_- Heh.
Pending decision: one more chance or go stuff yourselves.

You accuse me of harassing you, and you're dredging up day-old posts involving third parties just to incite continued harassment and bickering? Move to Colorado. I will definitely be paying for this, as for the bugs, keep reporting them, they are only human, and and are doing their best to accommodate us. Bugs can only be fixed if they are known. If the game was free, it would be crap, like the other games that went free, then went to the dogs. I have heaps of problems playing, but i report the problems then carry on.

I appreciate the offer (because, hey, we're all in this together!), but according to the green posts, it'll needs to be manually fixed. So looks the only game I'm playing is the Waiting Game. XD

But truly, this whole verification this is irksome. No problem taking $80 at the beginning of March, but my exact same card is totally untrustworthy now so no subscription for me. Yeesh, it's not like I can run away with time before they've charged me for it, and I did actually kinda plan on using that 30 days to decide which subscription plan to invest in. (Y'know, is it awesome enough that I'll throw down $77 now, or just cool enough to pay $15 for now?)

Anyway, sorry! I'm not usually so grumbly and growly, and I usually don't hang around on (any) forums. I'm just frustrated, and it multiplies when others are getting resolutions in 40 minutes and an hour while you're stuck in limbo without so much as a word of acknowledgement for your ticket. As much as I had been looking forward to this game, my enthusiasm has pretty much dried up and gone the way of the dodo. :(

I am in the same boat as many of you. With my ordeal, I went to set up my subscription for just the monthly to start off with. When I went to put in my card information it took me back to the billing address page and prompted me saying there was an error. I did this a total of 3 times and was charged for 3 one month subscriptions...still have yet to play the game other than beta and some early access yet they charged my card 3 times. I feel very discouraged at this point as well. I really want to play the game, so its bitter sweet because on one side I deeply want to feel like they are trying their best to handle this situation as best they can to the masses and with as much speed as humanly possible, but on the consumer side, I feel neglected and like my own situation is being handled poorly. I still try to remain positive with shards of hope. All I can do is wait patiently still and hopefully this gets resolved within the next couple of days. Until then I will just read the book it came with and stare at the Molag Bal statue and feel the same as the human clutched within his hands...stuck!

Sub already cancelled, class balance is a mess. Take nightblade as an example, wears medium armour which has among other things stamina regen, yet class skills use magicka, despite several passives giving stamina regen.

What's the solution, wear cloth on a char that's supposed to melee, meanwhile don't waste any points on half your class passives becasue they are a waste of *** time. That they cannot get such basic design concepts right beggars belief.

Even the popular streamers are ditching it already, lmfao, even runescape has more viewers over on twitch.

With a buttload of backlogged steam games PLUS Dark Souls II coming out this month AND possibly picking up watch dogs, nope I will not be extending.

This game did not hook me like skyrim/oblivion did. Its missing the soul of an elder scrolls game, visually and gameplay-wise. Just feels like another mmo that checked off everything on the mmo to-do list.

But I do hope to come back in a few months and see how the game has matured.

I will NOT be extending mine. I cannot even experience veteran ranked content and have been stuck by one quest for 6 days now.

In an MMO, the only real end-game is the last few seconds of play while the server shuts down forever. Anything else is simply high level content. I do wish that people would find a more appropriate term... like maybe High Level Content or CMLC (Current Max Level Content). Reaching maximum level, especially as MMOs like to raise level caps, does not make it an end.

I definitely plan to keep subbing. I've had a few issues with bugged quests but they have been resolved since launch. That being said I'm immensely enjoying the gameplay. I've been playing since 5 day early access and only have my main character at lvl21. There are so many quests, lore to read, things to loot in the world etc. The game is packed with content and everywhere I turn I'm tempted to harvest a node, race towards a treasure chest I see in the distance, collect every skyshard, and so on.

Hopefully none of you guys leave that enjoy the game but are just frustrated at some of the issues which remain to be worked out or maybe you plan on being back in the future. I used to do this myself with SWTOR, a few months on a few months off. Part of the fun for me playing the game is seeing a well populated world of other players around me doing their thing so hopefully most everyone decides to keep subbing.

    Greetings ,

This message confirms that you have successfully cancelled your subscription to The Elder Scrolls Online. You will no longer be charged for a subscription on a recurring basis, and your access to the game will expire at the end of your current subscription cycle.

We're sad to see you go now, but we'll be happy to welcome you back at any time! Whenever you're ready to come back, your characters will be waiting for you, just like you left them. You can return anytime by resubscribing on the Manage Subscription page on your Elder Scrolls Online account.

    Warm Regards,

    The Elder Scrolls® Online Team

Already there. Glad I didn't cough up too much for this. They got 25 days left to change my mind.

But yes, this is the smoothest launch as far as up time that I've seen too, but now the down time is needed to fix stuff, and they aren't.

I get pretty annoyed when I have to relog every single time I die to get my vampire passives back. This is not a huge issue in PvE but obviously you cant avoid dying in PvP if you are actually fighting people.

I get pretty annoyed when I crash 10+ times a day when I port from one keep to another in PvP.

I get pretty annoyed when I cant progress my character due to quest bugs that have been in the game since PTS.

I get annoyed when my friends and guildmates get the worst customer service possible with automatic ticket closings with automatic "Fill in name here" responses and have to open multiple tickets and in some extreme cases publicly shame ZoS on Reddit before getting their issues resolved.

I get annoyed when my guild can barely operate as a team in Cyrodil because nameplates and guild tags don't exist and large groups are bugged to the point where we can only have 8-12 members in a group before the entire group starts crashing.

No, I will not be renewing my sub at this point. It will take a lot to convince me otherwise.

I've played since 5 day early access. Am only level 17 as I love exploring, reading the books, hunting for the treasure without using the Internet (although I did cheat on one, Glenumbra map iv after hours of hunting)

Today I finished Glenumbra, 63 quests completed, I only had one quest I couldn't complete and that was The Ghosts of Westtry and that got fixed in the patch a few days ago allowing me to complete it.

I've had 2 or 3 quests where clickable items wouldn't click, on two occasions the items were under a table and a bed rather than on top, but logging out and back in fixed them.

I've had the game crash once.

While only 17, I've played for around a min of 5 hrs a day.

Obviously it would be nice to have no bugged quests but they are fixing them quickly, when I compare this to their last beta a few weeks ago, it's a different game,

Both daggerfall starter islands complete, I got the achievement for 61 quests in Glenumbra today and found a couple of more quests, found the sky shards using the hints in the journal and not the internet.

Tell a lie, I still have to complete spindle as I tried it in a 3 man group when I was level 12 or 13 and couldn't get past the 3rd boss, must do that tomorrow.

I am having the best fun I've had in a game in years, last Sunday my guild had fun with PvP and we will be there again this Sunday.

If the fun continues, the promised content is delivered, I can see me happily subbing for years.

I'm in the EU, most of my guild is in the UK, no one's mentioned lag etc so for us, it doesn't seem the server location is a problem, when we get into PvP seriously, that could change although our trip on Sunday we didn't notice any problems.

I know there are other bugs that need to be fixed, but I think they are getting on top of them. Sure they need to sort out the gold sellers, the game card issue for those with no credit cards etc but overall I think it's a superb game.

I realise those that can't play for whatever reason whether the game crashes all the time or whatever, are obviously going to be really frustrated and I don't blame you, I would be too. But all the people in my guild are really enjoying the game and I think I'm the only one that regularly visits this forum, my point being, the vast majority of players are in the game playing, not giving their opinions on here on whether they are extending their sub.

Even if you did a poll and 70% said that they weren't subbing, chances are most of those 70% would be the ones having huge problems getting the game to work and the 30% would be the few people with no problems who still visit the tech support forum section and the grand total of all voters probably wouldn't be higher than 3 to 5 hundred, meanwhile thousands are happily playing and most probably will sub next month without a seconds thought.

So while interesting, these threads don't really give any real indication on what the average player will do.

Already canceled the 180 day sub. Had to reup just to get my thirty days free. Customer service so bad has already sucked all the joy of this game from me. I was in a fever to play the first 10 days. Until I started getting locked out by login failure. I must have the most dynamic ISP address in the world. Locked out 17 times 17 codes sent that never worked. Can't think of a reason to stay. I'm getting into the game now but all the rest of the problems seem to be getting worse. I did 4 betas I actually think it was better then.

In my case, I really like this game, but probably won't subscribe at the current state. I rather wait another 3 month, until I can get a smooth gaming experience, and until Zenimax has shown its customers some respect (e.g. by talking to us)

    Thank you

Personally I think that a lot more players have come onto the mmo scene, this being an elder scrolls game.

The mostly offline players who went through the elder scrolls series will not know how hard ZOS will be going into overdrive to make this better for us. On top of things you may need patched in an offline game release, they have to deal with players exploiting bugs, deliberated bugging quests, gold sellers, griefers... I could go on.

The point I'm making is to be honest, this has been one of the smoothest mmo releases for me, although I know others have had trouble. And I've played a lot of mmo's.

I'm not just trying to suck up, they've honestly done a great job and they are already listening to community ideas about further updates, although most resources seem to be going towards fixing what's already wrong.

Personally I suggest you give it a few more weeks, which is plenty of time to have most major problems ironed out. But if you're really not enjoying yourself then take a break :] the main thing ZOS want is for you to enjoy yourself.

    I know I am though!

Just finished playing Skyrim prior to playing early access. Have played all the 'Classes' to get a taste and luv the variety. Was going to nab 6 months straight away.

As a new player you are quickly reminded that you cannot handle 2 enemies no matter what you do. Loot for a 'Mage' gets all sorts of heavy armour and weapons. WTF? Gathering gear by looting is very rough. So Farm Bosses or follow other players (Grouping REALLY sucks) when doing some of these quests where a lot of pairs are placed. I like the challenge....but....when your first character has enough crafting materials for your second and beyond characters they have the full gear set which helps a lot.

Exploring is nice but....but....you have a quest at Ash Mountain Level 4 for example. As you are trotting down the road you are trounced by spiders....over and over....until another player shows up....or you have to spend a lot of time sneaking around them....they spot you easily. Some of the thought process of the questing is simply bizarre. I don't mind the difficulty....just keep them mainly off the roads.

FAR too many 'Invisible' Enemies when the area gets crowded. When it is just meself and perhaps 2 or 3 others....me graphics is smooth as me silky nightwear. XD. When there are roughly 5 or more players around the graphics get very chuggy, controls stop working normally, and NPCs begin disappearing. This became worse after early access and now is happening much more. Same high end computer too. Many more questing bugs as well.

The game looks and feels nice. Bags are simply ridiculous in size. Having to make 2 other characters to hold crafting materials is insane. I am crafting all crafts...so need all materials.

No Auction Hall....so what do we have? Guild Bank sales??? I understand the regional economy aspect of this but the Banks are almost impossible to click on the Banker a lot of times and joining 5 different trade guilds....and how does that make the Auction Hall invalidate?

This game is wildly fun and the combat system is interesting (not quite like Skyrim but similar). You have to watch what is going on...I like that. Much more like Neverwinter Nights 1/2 where combat is very strategic but now more dynamic. Awesome. The laggy game though makes repeatedly clicking your attack/block/skills as nothing is happening while getting me arse handed....THEN...the game server catches up and excutes the keys....ding ding ding....you cannot do that because you are flat on ye arse! XD

Going to give this a rest for awhile. Just too many strange bugs and unstable play. Perhaps in 6 or 12 months this will be more stable. Back to LoTRO for me MMO fix.

I already have. Half year subscription. :)
I enjoy the game when I can get on-line. Maybe it doesn't have the same feeling to it as the one-player elder scrolls games, buy I still enjoy it!
I also believe that with time this game will succeed. Plus, I'm not easily bothered by these kind of things (bug etc.)
