Glowing Staff Bug

Hi there. I got quite annoyed by this bug that existed since beta and was never fixed even though I reported it several times. So there I am reporting it here. When I wear my Restoration Staff, doesn't matter which one, sometimes after fighting enemies that strange glow appears on top of it, as if I was casting something. This glow doesn't go away when I take the staff off and put it back on. It doesn't disappear when I reload UI. It disappears only when I relog. But the most annoying thing is that when I ride my horse, there is no staff visible on my back but that glow is keeps hanging around my shoulder which look horrible and there's no way to fix it as it appears again and again. Please, I hop you deal with it in your next patch.

Pretty sure it's a ghost, I saw it on this show on the travel channel. Definitely not a lens flare or swamp gas. Definite ghost.

I've noticed this too. At times, the orb also seems to *grow* 0_0; I thought it was a design feature, however, so I've never /bugged it.

I had this in beta too. At first it was kinda cool because it was like a sunball. Then, it became annoying.

Its especially bad playing in first person, because it blocks out about 1/4th of the screen and is extremely distracting. The FOV is bad enough already, so it means relogging fairly often if using the restoration staff.

Yes, restoration staff bug. I've had it since beta, still happens, needs fixing.

Ah!

I was just about to ask the same question. Is it maybe intentional? It seems to grow over time.

I have a second, similar question though - whats with Magelight?
I get this glowing blue ball in orbit around may too but I don't see anyone else with the same effect.

These two effects are similar - you can't see other people's glowing staff tip either.

Lol guys it's not intentional. I can say even more, Lightning Staff got the same kind of issue. Just look at this. This is definitely bugged and not getting fixed for a long time. And it occurs after fighting someone, this lighting just gets stuck to the ground for 5-10 secs. So please everyone report it as much as possible so devs finally pay attention to this.

God its annoying! the only way to remove it is to relog or do a zone change....even then there is a chance it will just come back again.

Mine comes back every other time i use a heavy attack. In first person, it's blinding and consumes a good amount of the screen. This really needs fixed.

I like Orby somehow! But in first person he should really get to another place, perhaps cirling my like the magelight

This thing is awfull, playing in first person view becomes impossible.
and 3rd person isn't much better.
That's screws up Healing in PVP since i have to relog each time with 2-3 mins reload time (when it actually loads, cyrodiil)
It's just a simple VFX, just remove it and ppl in this thread will thank you ?
Or maybe we can somehow tweak our graphic options in the meantime ? Anyting will do !

other people cant see the lighting orb Axiod, if you look around you dont see other running around with it either

Nope it happens regardless of the state of the charge in your weapon or even if you charge your weapon.

It is just random, incredibly annoying in if not game-breaking in first person mode and worse it should be the most trivial of fixes.

Combined this with the multiple channeled staff attack bugs, I'm surprise anyone uses a Resto staff...
