No one has even seen this in action yet on the test server and we are already speculating that the necro is OP. Can we wait until we see what the PTS looks like.

It doesn't matter. On this forum, anything that's functional or that I personally cannot kill should be nerfed.

Warden showed that the dev team was learning how we played the game. Necro appears to be the result of the dev team finally understanding it. Instead of crying about how "OP" this class is we should be bringing light to the poor patch job ZOS has done to the original four. Hopefully, ZOS apply their new understanding to vanilla so we'll have 6 classes that are fully designed around Magicka and Stamina builds. Weapons Skills should provide extra options, not be mandatory to make the base kit function (I'm looking at you stam sorc).

Swift Scythe - 25% HP on cast plus 50% over 5 seconds, 3k magicka,
Sorc - Unstable clannfear, 35%, 3.6k cost, double bar. Benefits + pet messing things around..
DK - GDB, 33% which is never 33, 25% at best upon activation + huge bonus to healing received, 4.3k magicka
NB - 32% over 3 seconds, plus minor protection for 3 seconds lol, 3.7k cost -> complete trash
Templar - no %HP heal at all
    Warden 15%+10% over 10 seconds + off-heal, 4k cost...

So Necro's heal is cheapest and mightiest, only GDB is somewhat comparable due to healing received passive..

GDB is 33% from missing health. So it is not op at all.

Of course, that's why i wrote 25% at best, in case you receive some big hits and activated it when low HP. Also healing received buff from GDB is massive but I doubt it will payoff over Swift Scythe, considering the cost.
Necro will receive both burst + powerful HoT and both of it cheap. I doubt necrotank will require any external healing at all, especially with additional healing received from heavy armor, CP and passives. If swift scythe is not blatant OP then what it is.

Yes it's OP but not sure of the extent yet. The values of the skills are not set in stone.

Stamina Templar sitting here on life support with like 3 usable passives. Then ZOS GIVES A FREE PURGE THAT GIVES RESOURCES TO NECRO.

    Lol. Stamplar is completely invalidated.

Stay strong, together we will purge the land of these dark imposters.

You forgot to mention that Necromancer is the only class that needs to actually hit an enemy in 7-meter cone to get the heal. In a ranged fight this skill will be underwhelming.
Also, that 50% secondary heal doesnt exist and you misread the tooltip. Its 10% over 5 seconds not per second

You do realize how stupid you sound, right?

"Read the Necromancer skill line. It sounds too OP."

It hasn't even hit the PTS yet! Chill with the "Plz nerf!" threads! Ffs

Anyone else think necro might be a little overtuned?

    Some examples:
Flesh Colossus: A cheap 150 ult cost and aoe major vulnerability, also the frost cc on top. Imagine if sorc atro was this useful.
Boneyard: a frost aoe skill (cc) that applies both major fracture and breach. Can subassault even compete?
    A BoL and a purge.
    Good ultimate gain.
On top of this they have a free heal that grants major protection/ultimate and an armor buff that pulls automatically.

Battlegrounds are going to be interesting.

I'd prefer developers to buff other classes, since there are plenty of useless abilities.
Necromancer seems to be a lot of fun, even though he is strong. I don't mind number tweaking, but removing or altering mechanics would really diminish the fun factor.

Some things will obviously be toned down before they make it live. People have to keep in mind that necromancers don't have major prophecy or savagery, don't have major sorcery or brutality, don't have any mobility, and they don't have a stun other than the ultimate that won't ever hit anyone in PvP.

Necromancers won't be able to utilize their whole kit. Stamina necromancers will be forced to use 2h for major brutality just like stamplars. They will also need Dizzying or Draining Shot for the stun. Magicka necromancers will probably slot Inner Light, Degeneration, mist and the destro cc.
If it is anything like Warden it will look OP until a couple weeks after release, once everyone looking to pay to win has pre-ordered. Then they will promptly nerf them, to be the weakest damage class for the next 2 years.

Even now magicka warden is about the weakest DPS option you could go with, though by less than before.

This is about PvP, and magicka wardens are currently FOTM in PvP.

Magromancer will have the same problems as Magden and Mag Sorc... How do you kill anyone without a burst ultimate? Stamcromancer with Dawnbreaker will be just as strong as Stamden, if not stronger, because of all the juicy stamina morphs.

What a joke. When will Magicka be brought up to the same level as Stamina?

That was what i was thinking when i saw the stamina vs magicka morphs. At first i wanted to make a magimancer, but now i am really leaning towards a 2-handed - bowtard stamimancer.

NB tanks: Please ZoS can we get a hard-CC morph of Fear, since fear can also freeze and not just send enemies fleeing
ZOS: Yeah that sounds good we'll put it on the necromancer
Yep. At this point NB & Sorcs will become obsolete. Hell almost all classes will.
Necro simply took what was best about sorcs & nb and combained it. I find it hilarious that necro will be most liekely better "bloodmage" than mag blade.

Also the resurrection ulti seems way too strong. It will be easy mode for all type of group content. Both pvp & pve. Half of you died in that vet hard mode trial and you are about to be wiped ? Well it is good that you have 6 necros in your group, they can res you all... as if you were never dead.

You are lying dead in cyro in a wall breach and the keep is under siege ? And every one that tries to res you also dies to siege engines ? And the camp res is on cooldown. Dont worry, people will spam res ulrlti at the breach...

I wish... I just wish that instead of nerfing necro zos would just buff other clases.. But as we all know ZOS wont do that and necro will be simply a Pay-2-Win class for like first 3 - 6 months...
