ZoS isn't a charity, it's a business. I'm a customer. I pay monthly for their sub and buy items in the crown store. I don't owe them anything, nor should I feel the need to 'donate' money for them to do the basic thing an online service should do - provide good online service.
Also, we see all this talk from ZoS staff or some players about how well this game is doing... the test of that isn't showing me some screen cap of how well it sold on steam or how it was rated by a site or how many players we think logged in, etc... the test of whether they are successful is whether or not they can afford to do what needs to be done for the game to be healthy.
If the game is doing well, then they should have no problem dealing with server issues, hiring more quality control staff, etc. All the profit doesn't have to go into shareholders, it can be put back into the business to help with the life of the game. However, they are probably on maintenance mode for this game to ride out the next several years and keep it profitable while pumping that profit into the next project. You'll only see the minimum done to keep ESO working just good enough.-- @xaraan --

Merenwen_812✭✭✭OtherI already donate. I pay for 2 yearly subs, 2 intermediate subs when the others feel like playing for a little while. Crown crates, preorders. I have tossed thousands of dollars their way. I don't know how the tech of it works or why the game lags even with top tier PCs or why the loading screens sometimes take 5-10 min but I do my part to make sure they have funds to patch fix and keep making new content ….. xD1
