These don't look like they need replacement.

The hardware is not the problem, it's the code those servers are running. And using that as a valid reason to upgrade the servers themselves, is like saying you need a new house when all that's wrong with the old one is the terribly out-of-date decorating.

Once upon a time I had a bad ISP. Connection went out randomly throughout the day. Their answer was always, "We're working on it and should have it fixed soon." I didn't donate money to that ISP. I switched services.

Why would I "donate" when I already support the game monetarily as it is? That's my donation. They're not getting any more beyond that. I'm hardly made of money, and if I was, donating my extra income to a video game is definitely not the route I would take.

I wouldn't pay anyway as I don't have any significant performance issues with the game, but even if I did I wouldn't pay because simply upgrading the servers wouldn't solve all the problems that some other players do suffer from.

As others have said, I already donate by subbing to eso+ and I sometimes buy crowns and the expansions. They have had their fair share of money from me.

I already do "donate", I'm subbed to the game. And I have to say that yes they do need to upgrade their servers, the lag is real and often it can be bad. This game could grow to rival FFXIV if not for that because so many are turned off big time by this type of lag, and understandably so.

Most likely lag is due to internet traffic pathays getting to the servers . Not the servers themselves. This is something they have no control over.

A basic well managed, working game environment. This is what I assume they are going to provide.

Everything else they do is window dressing.

They have stolen enough money tonlay down their own fibre optic around the world and make their own network.

All they need to use is 50% of the profits made from crowns and eso+ would easily cover the fix

They are a damn business (a fairly profitable one it seems) and they certainly dont need donations. It's amazing how many people seem to love corporate welfare.

Do they need to fix the servers? Truthfully, I have no idea, but they have performance issues that certainly need addressed. I still sub, but I havent bought crowns in a long time, and really have no intention of pumping additional money into this game until I see some big changes on the performance side.
