I know this sounds crazy and ZOM is a multimillion dollor company that gives ZOS a budget probably, and they work with that.
But let's say if we can help this a little bit bye donating or starting a Gofundme.com account to pay to upgrade servers. I don't know the problems behind it or if that's even the true problem of lag and performance.

Servers are not the main problem, the problem is the bottleneck of information going too and from the servers when it comes to lag. Upgrading servers might make it a bit better but until they solve the issues of servers having too many calls for too many calculations the lag will remain.
Also I shouldn't have to donate on top of the cost I am paying for access to the content for them to upgrade any hardware required to run that game. ZOS/ZOM is making enough money to do any hardware upgrades the game might need, it's up to them as companies to put that money where it's needed.@Turelus - EU PC Megaserver

Its a business for profit and I get that; its on them to keep the infrastructure up if they want to KEEP making that PROFIT. They seem to be on a path to working on performance and I for one will give em the time they need for NOW.

I have a feeling most of the problems are to do with software optimization. Having said that, it doesn't explain why it feels like the EU mega server is constantly on fire and the NA one is running fine.5 -

✭✭✭✭✭If throwing money at the problem was going to solve it, ESO would have pretty PVP performance, less lag, less bugs, less recurring bugs, and their game updates wouldn't suffer from crippling QA issues.
Mind you, I'm sure some of that is simply intrinsic to the nature of the beast at this point.

Some people really can't wrap their head around the fact that this isn't some backstreet 4 man, for the love of gaming, company. Maybe Bethesda or Zeni can help ZoS out. I dunno. I suspect they are in a better financial situation than all of us on here combined.4 -

✭✭✭✭✭OtherAs other people have said I already give money to ZOS in return for expansions, DLC, crowns etc. and I expect some of that money to go on maintaining the game. I don't think it's a question of 'yes I would' or 'no I would not'.
But I also agree that fixing it isn't as simple as throwing money at it until the problem goes away. Just like the question about taking the servers offline until everything is fixed or not making any new content so they can get everyone working on fixing bugs (because artists and writers are well known for their expert server debugging skills) I find it hard to believe ZOS knows how to fix all the problems in the game and what it would take to do that and is simply refusing to allocate the necessary resources.PC EU player | She/her/hers | PAWS (Positively Against Wrip-off Stuff) - Say No to Crown Crates!

1. It won't help (problems are caused by to heavy and inefficient algorithms).

✭✭OtherNot to sound jaded, but I'm already giving ZOS plenty of money, both in subscription and by buying crowns now and then, and I'm pretty sure they have a good profit margin selling those. I don't think I'm ready to give even more. I'm also pretty sure that the only thing I'll get back if I did would be getting nerfed into oblivion again / getting ignored / et cetera, et cetera. Not too long ago ZOS promised to improve whole that communication thing, and I'm still waiting for it to happen; I'm not giving even more money to them until I'm reasonably sure that I'm something other than just a money bag in their eyes.1 -

Besides, what good would upgrading the servers do. My guess is OP thinks upgrading the servers would solve the issues we experience but that is far from the case.
We experience issues like server lag, especially in Cyrodiil due to poor management of this game starting with the person who leads Zos. They have admitted changes they have made to the game have added to the server stress which means they have actually made it worse with their choices

ZOS don't need charity and with the money they make every month/year it should be enough to upgrade the servers.
PC EU server performance is worse than PC NA server performance and my guess is that the server they have in Germany is cheaper & less reliable than the one they have on USA.
This may also be related to the data center infrastructure & content delivery network (CDN) they have for PC EU too.
So the infrastructure itself should also be upgraded and the & content delivery network (CDN) to be replaced to a better one.

I would suggest the contrary. Spend as little as possible until ZOS get their act together. Performance is going downhill. I play in EU and the forums are full of threads with people complaining about growing instability in EU servers, something I've felt myself. No, I won't donate. If ZOS can't keep the game up, then shut it down.1 -

✭✭The servers isn't the problemThe servers may be one of the problems, but they're not the only problem. Most of the complaints I see on these forums suggest it's the network connections which are mostly outside ZOS's control.
I'd suggest a global ban on streaming video. That would leave more bandwidth for games.0
