I was doing crafting writs in Alinor yesterday and there were pets in the way. I wasn't in a very good mood and said in proximity chat "get rid of your damn pets!!!"

Then, I realized they were my own pets. I only use a pet sorc to run VMA and do writs, so rarely ever have them out. I felt like an ass.

Make them invisible to others except the atro which has the synergy. Just like every other skill. Might reduce lag as well
    -Immortal Redeemer-
    -Extinguisher of Flames-
    -Gryphon Heart-
    -Potato-

If I edited a post, it was for spelling. It is always because of spelling....

Will anything ever be done to fix this?

travel to a wayshrine - there's a winged twilight flapping in your face
visit a crafting station to complete a writ - there's a winged twilight flapping in your face
visit a banker in town - there's a bunch of winged twilights flapping in your face
go to turn in your writs - there's a winged twilight flapping in your face

    BONUS:
try to interact with a banker/writ turnig/crafting station and theres a stupid bear blocking you

Why can't we have transparency on annoying pets like other games? Especially when they insist on adding so many. Necromancer is going to make this even much worse.

[Edit to remove inapprorpaite content in title]

I've always wondered why people insist on having their pets/summons with them ALL the time when their in the cities. On another note: Folks, is it really that inconvenient to walk through the streets of a city? Do we honestly need to jump on our giant spiders, flaming horses, tatooed bears or flaming tigers just to go between the fighter's guild and the crafting station?

    Just plain weird.

I don't really care, but, since I never use mounts, I just find it confusing.

I'm surprised there aren't more fat characters since, they never seem to use their own feet to move.

This problem would be solved if we could quick-key dismissing our pets. But noooooooo I have to open my character sheet, scroll down to the buffs list, then left click to dismiss. Too much and I'm a lazy-***! I bet more people would use it if there was a key bind for dismissing pets.

Why not put summoned pets as one of the "wheel" options so that they can be dismissed in towns etc. (Sure, I don't doubt some people wouldn't bother... but at least we'd know which one's are doing it just to be annoying. lol)

Both Sorc and Warden need the ability to "unsummon" their pets without removing the skill from them bar and than adding it back again.

    - snip -

You don't have to remove the pet from the bar if you are on PC. Go into your character screen (C) and at the bottom you will see your Active Effects. Right click on the pet and it will be dismissed.

I remember them not being out without summoning on back and when I traveled to a new location I had to re-summon again. I just think they should go back to that or treat the area within 4 meters or so around the wayshrine like they do in the houses where pets cant be summoned.

    Just my thoughts on this.

I dismiss my matriarch in towns (thank Mara for the Pet Dismiss add on).
But you do not need an addon to do that, just do it from your Character screen. Maybe the real issue is that people do not know how to dismiss pets manually.

The addon enables the use of hot keying dismissing - a much easier method. Want the flapping screen *** removed? Hit one key and “poof” she’s gone!

Now imagine Alfig quest givers getting powned by bears.
This was an issue in WOW, Tauren or male Dranei, yes the race had males acording to lore :)
As in huge races in robes standing on top of gnome npc.
Alfiq racials skills, disband any pet within 3 meter from you, cost 3K magic.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

If we sorcs have to suffer having these things fly around us all day long, b/c nerfed everything else to the ground, then you can suffer having them fly in front of you every now and then too! That's what you get for all these unwarranted nerf sorc threads

I have had to stop playing and come back later because people are blocking NPCs with their pets. The flappy wing things can cause a form of seizure in some people too. It is just really silly not to block pets and other animations around crafting stations, banks, writ return areas, way shrines, etc.

Twilights are becoming the bane of a lot of cyro players , defending a keep the other night , I couldn't see anything in front of me as a group of pet sorcs came through the door other than bloody twilights.

Shrinking them down to the size of a nixad is the best solution , hopefully then it'll stop the cheese fest currently being used by the noob squads!

When they implement guard aggro and bounties for certain necromancy skills, I really hope they also implement it for summoned daedric pets. It's essentially the same sort of thing. You'll see a drastic decrease of flappy monstrosities in towns at that point.

The problem with this is that sorcerers can't really easily desummon there pets, so why would ZoS punish them for not implementing a proper system for it?

There's an addon that you can use that assign's a key stroke to de-summon your pets. PetDismiss.

This is the reason I switch my pets off when out of combat zones. IDK if people know how to do it so there is how: press "c" to open your "Character" tab, scroll down and right click on the strips representing your pets to switch them off.

This assumes you are playing on the PC. I had to hide my pets for a quest where they were killing a mob I had to "free" before I could do that. I had to remove them from a bar (they are on both bars to always keep them active in combat) to get them to despawn so I could finish the quest without the target dying before I could finish my action.

What if pets were made to behave like mounts? When you enter a structure that would normally cause you to dismount, your pets are desummoned automatically.

you know that skills arent invisible to others by default.
Playing your character the way your character should play is all that matters. Play as well as you can but never betray the character. Doing so would make playing an mmoRPG pointless.

I know what you mean though. They are so annoying. My main is a pet sorc and they even annoy me. I always dismiss them in populated areas.

How do you dismiss them without removing the skill from your bar? once upon a time you used to be able to hold the button down and it would unsummon them, doesn't work anymore though...

Just as easy on console just go to the menu select character and select the active pet and press the button (square on PS4) to disable it. done. Not required to remove anything from your skill bars.
