The warden bear has been mostly what gets in my way on turning in writs and stuff. I do play petsorc a lot. I don’t run a twilight though. Idk how it is on pc but I wish there was a fast and simple way to toggle pet on/off. I have to slot another skill to unsummon pet.
On PS4 you push select->character->roll down and hit square button to remove effect(you can see your pet icon there). It only takes 5secs to unsummon your pet.

I honestly think A LOT of players are simply just ignorant that they're in the way. I think quite a few people don't realize they're not phase able like other players. I have never had someone be rude when I would ask them to move slightly to the side because their pet was blocking me from something. They're always polite and apologise.

Obviously it's annoying, but don't treat people like trash because they might not know any better or are not paying attention. Unless someone is deliberatly doing this to grief and troll others, we need to be respectful of others, so if you run pets, please keep them under control, if you're being blocked from turning in writs, message the player and politely ask them to move their pets. If the situation deteriorates, file a complaint with ZoS and send a screenshot(s).

We can police ourselves just fine.

When they implement guard aggro and bounties for certain necromancy skills, I really hope they also implement it for summoned daedric pets. It's essentially the same sort of thing. You'll see a drastic decrease of flappy monstrosities in towns at that point.

The problem with this is that sorcerers can't really easily desummon there pets, so why would ZoS punish them for not implementing a proper system for it?

Problem with sorc pets is there’s no way to unsummon them without removing the skill from your bar, getting them killed or dying and/or some other inconvenient work arounds. They’ve said that necro pets will be summoned and then disappear like a dot abilty with a monster form so I don’t think we will have the same issue there. But why ZOS doesn’t have the ability to hot key unsummon doesn’t make sense. It doesn’t have to be anywhere near your combat or movement keys.

Character sheet scroll down to active effects and remove the twilight.

you telling me a sorc has to do that everytime they go in town?

I'm a sorc and I desummon my pets all the time. I only summon them when I really need them, then I desummon them as soon as I'm done with them.

travel to a wayshrine - there's a winged twilight flapping in your f'ing face
visit a crafting station to complete a writ - there's a winged twilight flapping in your f'ing face
visit a banker in town - there's a bunch of winged twilights flapping in your f'ing face
go to turn in your writs - there's a winged twilight flapping in your f'ing face

    BONUS:
try to interact with a banker/writ turnig/crafting station and theres a stupid bear blocking you

Why can't we have transparency on annoying pets like other games? Especially when they insist on adding so many. Necromancer is going to make this even much worse.

Well if you ask me at essential stuff like crafting stations/writ delivery crates and bankers/merchants I would make no pet zone debuff, just so we can stop being annoyed by trolls standing near/on them with their pets. Also it is good to type in chat: "Open Character screen and right click on your summoned pet to deactivate it so i can deliver writ" as most players do not know u can do it that way.

It would be nice to have a new skin to apply to sorc pets, to make them either smaller and/or different colors.

This is the reason I switch my pets off when out of combat zones. IDK if people know how to do it so there is how: press "c" to open your "Character" tab, scroll down and right click on the strips representing your pets to switch them off.

Somebody suggested something like that in a similar thread I had on reddit some time ago, actually one poster said it would be nice to have a non-combat pet skins applicable on combat pets. Imagine that sweet bengal looking kitty running around and spewing lightnings. :)

No thanks. 9/10 when one engages with a stranger about something like this, it's going to be a can of worms of some kind that's more hassle than it's worth. Even if that particular player is agreeable, It won't actually fix the problem because there are thousands of players doing this while blissfully unaware.

This should be easy for ZOS to fix. They just need to get their heads out of their bums. This is the kind of bug that makes one think no one at ZOS actually plays ESO.

I dismiss my matriarch in towns (thank Mara for the Pet Dismiss add on).
But you do not need an addon to do that, just do it from your Character screen. Maybe the real issue is that people do not know how to dismiss pets manually.

I main a Petsorc and hate having the pet out when I'm not fighting. Like the quest buddies they are too close and get in the way of just about everything from collecting loot to trying to access a crafting table. I still don't understand why ZOS won't increase the follow distance and provide a basic pet control bar where we can tell them to move, stay or easily "Go away!".

I am not denying the summoned pet is an inconvenience at times. However, there are much more important issues in game that a few moment of steps do not solve. Especially with something that is not a constant issue. This is very small.

In other words. If this is one of the biggest issues you face with the games performance and design then you are in great shape.

Oh I used to use that procedure but found it very tedious. Tedious enough that I couldn't be bothered to dismiss pets in town.
Pet Dismiss is a single programmable key and the pets are instantly gone. Even works when mounted or while waving your arms around beginning to port to your house. For me, that add on makes the difference between 'too tedious to be bothered' and EZ to reliably do whenever in town. So yes, thank Mara for the Pet Dismiss addon.

Wouldn't play pet sorc without it. ZOS really needs to include this feature in the basic game. The addon is a good solution for me (PC) but is of no help to console players.

Well I've learned two new ways to dismiss my pet! Up until now on the PC, I've been hitting the period key dragging the summon icon out of the hotbar and dropping it right back in again, I'll be getting that addon right now.

Whu? What is this? You don't run across Mountain and moore with three billowy friends announcing your arrival at every port?

You don't stand next to the banker doing nothing for fifteen minutes? Whilst said pets rub their private parts into the faces ofyour foes?

    How very sociable of you.

I think almost everyone would want them smaller. I have an alt that I abandoned BECAUSE of how annoying the winged Twilight was. The bear that my warden has is almost just as annoying. I love the idea of a non-human helper, but I see people calling for wolves or other smaller creatures to replace the bears and agree with that. Winged Twilights need to be replaced as well. Size doesn't always equate power, deadliness, or ability to fight!

Both Sorc and Warden need the ability to "unsummon" their pets without removing the skill from them bar and than adding it back again.

Pets are pretty much only maintained by their summoners, I don't think other players ever want to actually heal them instead of another player, but they do act as effective shields in PVP sometimes.

Really I think that ZOS just needs to make pets be ignored when you target/look at them, unless you have a toggle selected. Like something in the combat section of options that says "Ignore Player Summons", which when selected your target/look will just see through the pets.

Of course have this disabled in PVP areas so that people can't just ignore and target people behind pets easily when they are enemies.
