Hi,
I am having issues adding a friend in contacts, keep getting the message Account Not Found. My friend has the same issue when trying to add me. Is this a known issue or is it something else. Any help would be appreciated.

Hyperventilate✭✭✭Just to cover bases... you're doing @accountnamehere, correct? I don't believe you can add a character name. You need to be adding the account name (The name you & they log into the game with.)
If you're trying that, I guess double/triple check it's spelled correctly. If that too doesn't work, that really sucks. >_<
Have you submitted a bug ticket? You can do it in game by typing /bug and filling out the form.0 -

Alright so I seem to have discovered the problem (or least most of it).
If a player sets their status to offline, you can't send them messages but they can still send them to you. Which, can cause some confusion. Unsure about adding friends/mail.

A guildy of mine is having this issue and we did such an experiment for curiosity sake and still the same result. Basically it shows him in online mode in the guild roster, even right clicking their name and selecting "Whisper" doesn't seem to work. It is a theory that the account profile may be missing the status option info for all the others except offline mode and as a result it could be defaulting to that.0
