Just spent a hell ton of money on this game.
Gona have to cancel sub and quit I guess.
Don't have enough spare coin to be buying these stupid machines willy nilly.

    Feels bro.

After my third Xbox One died I switched to PS4. Still on the original PS4 four years later.

Despite what others say, the Xbox One system is a huge steaming pile.

Not gonna pile on the futile PC master race argument, but how do you figure this? On laptops it's usually a matter of removing one cover, and desktop cases increasingly come with hot swap HDD trays you only need to pull out, no screws or opening the case required.

It is reinstalling the OS, drivers and programs that is harder on a PC, on a console that is handled by a simple bootloader.
I bet most PC gamers don't take the time to make a complete image backup although they should.

Lol wouldn't go that far. I can remove a hard drive and replace it in 10 seconds by opening my hinged window panel, unplugging the SATA cables and sliding it out, sliding in the new one, replugging cables and closing the panel. You can actually do this even faster if you set up hot swapping drives - no cables to unplug or replug.

Console is simple to do, just need to remove screws to open the case, being careful of any plastic tabs. Some consoles have a certain way they have to be opened to avoid damage. Hard drive is usually secured with simple hardware like screws, tabs, tape, etc. Replacing it would be just a matter of swapping it out and reassembling the case - simple, but not as fast as me. :)

Don't need to make an image if you just set up two identical drives in RAID 1. Though most PC gamers don't bother with backups of their primary drive because it's usually on an SSD, which are very reliable compared to HDDs since there are no moving parts. Still, having a backup is good data hygiene, and a hard habit to break for PC oldbies like me. I gamed back when file corruption was common and a complete reinstall would take the entire day - not fun.

Unless you system breaks down and you have to get an new one who image don't work on, do an file backup on top of image :) this also let you back up specific folders like my document and ***.

Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

Warranty there is 2 years not 1 like the shop.
Said they would send me a new one if I send the old one.
Will only take max 21 days.

Or the shop will give me 200 bucks off a new one if I give them the old one.

Both choices are meh. I'd buy a 1TB SSD and do the job myself. Much faster drive, and no wait time. AFAIK stock XB1/X drives are all 5400RPM 2.5 inch hard drives, which aren't very fast. A good SSD would be a huge improvement. And since XB1X uses a SATA III interface, a SATA III NAND SSD is the perfect upgrade.

    Here are some good options:

The chick at the store gave me 333 for my old Xbox plus a few games.
She had a preowned X for 528 so I got a new one for about 160 bucks!

The dude over the phone said 200.

You just gave someone 160 bucks for 1tb 5400 rpm HDD which costs 35$. It is so sad that someone can be so lazy and refuse to read a simple guide how to swap your Console HDD and set it up in 10 mins...

    hopefully this will work

First, please check to see if you can bring up the below Xbox Startup Troubleshooter.

To do so, do the following steps:
    · Power off your console completely by removing power cord.

    · Wait 30 seconds, and re-add the power cord manually.
    · Press and hold the BIND button and the EJECT button, and press the Xbox button in the same time.

    · Continue pressing the BIND and EJECT buttons for 10-15 seconds.
    · If you hear two “power-up” tones, then you release the BIND and EJECT buttons after the second power-up tone.
    · The console should power up and take you directly to the Xbox Startup Troubleshooter.

If Yes, get ready to restore your console to factory defaults:
    1. Review the above steps to bring up the Xbox Startup Troubleshooter again.
    2. Press the D-pad and A button on your controller.

    3. You select "Reset this Xbox". When prompted, select "Remove everything".

If the error continues, restore your console to factory defaults.
Warning: Resetting your console to its factory defaults erases all accounts, saved games, settings, and home Xbox associations. Anything not synchronized with Xbox Live will be lost.
    · Repeat the above steps to bring Xbox Startup Troubleshooter back.
    · Press the D-pad and A button on your controller and select "Reset this Xbox". Refer to the below image.

Apparently the hard drive is failing.

What a pain in the ass.
Just spent a hell ton of money on this game.
Gona have to cancel sub and quit I guess.
Don't have enough spare coin to be buying these stupid machines willy nilly.

A 2.5" 1tb harddrive to replace your faulty one is like 30-40$ but idk what your definition of "hell ton of money" is.
And the replacing part can be done by literally anyone... if you know how to use a screwdriver you can also replace a harddrive.
Theres hundreds of guides including videos and step by step guides out there.

This is why I play PC; open it up; put a cheap $50 hard drive to limp along if you can’t afford; or me personally just buy a large ssd that’s quality. My HD has lasted me 6 years now.

    Don't know about that.
But I have spent thousands of $$$ on this game through the crown store and subbing and what not.

Maybe ZOS can buy me a new one... :*

If you can spend thousands of dollars through the Crown Store I'm sure you can spend like $120 on a new hard drive.
