I believe the Xbox X comes with a year warranty, so if you still fall within that then your repairs will be free. If you bought Microsoft Complete that will extend it to like 3 years.

If your warranty is out there is some things you can do. 1. Replace hard drive, not that hard to do. Very easy step by step guides online. 2. You can also attempt to hook your hard drive to pc and redo it and fix. I did step number 2 last week and fixed mine that did the same thing. I’ve also replaced hard drives in them too. Much cheaper way than replacing entire Xbox.
Not having a go, but found it funny how you said you've spend thousands of dollars on ESO but can't afford a new Xbox
