Title says it all. And the first time I only had a 150 ping. The second time 284 ping. What's going on?

    Update ****
Well I just finally got back on the game
Thanks Zos for killing the rest of my mobs for the quest I was doing inside House Indoril Crypt, keeping me alive while I was gone and opening the portal up for me :)

    Update*****

My husband and I are continuing to have random disconnect problems.

We have done had our ISP come out and check our modem, the lines coming into the house and the main line.
They couldn't find any issues anywhere. Plus, they haven't had anyone else in our area that uses their services complain of the same constant lagging problems that we are.
And we only experience this kind of ping while on ESO. We can use the internet for everything else just fine (other games, viewing sites via our web browser, Messenger, Skype, Discord, to name a few).
So we are all left to assume it's the ESO game servers or something in between us and ESO that is causing our issues.
We live in Missouri and use CableOne.

All we know is that this is getting very annoying. We both have just poofed out to our login screen while fighting mobs, riding along, standing still, farming, etc. It's making the game almost unplayable.

We both really want to continue to support and play the game....please help us.

Update addons and reset router with game closed. If that doesn't work, probably will save you time and frustration by finding another game.

We already did that, it didnt help. Tyvm for the suggestion though :)

Matter of fact we have tried everything there is suggested on the forums and in Support FAQ's. We even called our ISP for the third time (twice this week and once tonight). Nothing is helping :(

We even placed an order for a new modem tonight while on the phone with a CableOne Technical Support Techie. We get it Monday.

Sometimes like just now, I get tossed to the login screen when hitting only a 500+ ping.

Here are some screenshots of what I, myself have been experiencing in pings. To which I get disconnected soon after.

    4615 ping happened on 3/22/2019
    L1nmJwd.jpg

    8080 ping happened on 3\22\2019
    T8FMtwZ.jpg

    9005 ping happened on 3\22\2019
    Via7Nl2.jpg

    1112 ping happened on 3\17\2019
    2ENfbzX.jpg

    2850 ping happened on 3\17\2019
    JokEdK5.jpg

I have reached as high as 12000+ ping before. And these high pings are happening quite often on a daily basis. I would say every 30 minutes but sometimes it's back to back.
I am randomly experiencing things such as rubberbanding , while mounted and running along I hit a load screen and come back dismounted, not being able to interact with objects, and being tossed to login screen for no apparent reason.

    @ZOS_JessicaFolsom @ZOS_GinaBruno @ZOS_BillE @ZOS_GaryA @ZOS_KaiSchober

    Someone please help *begging*

Well these kinds of solutions never really worked for most players, I got kinda used to being kicked randomly to login screen for no reason (I mean it hapopens for over a year now lol), however due to that fact I rarely if ever go to dungeons/trials so that the whole group of players won't get delayed cause of it.

And besides if it would be my net/router etc. online games that are more let's say needy than ESO would have same if not worse issues but they do not... So we can see where is the problem.

1 more thing I noticed, players who have such troubles are located mostly on EU servers, NA seems fine.

This just all happened within a matter of a few minutes

    7057 ping
    2dXlARD.jpg

    2701 ping
    8iydZ8x.jpg

    1071 ping
    gtniOP4.jpg

in that exact order. Then I was shoved into my login screen. :(:(:(:s>:)

Not happy at all. I would ask for some time be added to my current Sub as compensation but I doubt I would get any.

What else do you have running in the background while playing ESO?

You say you have updated all addons, but have you tried disabling them all?

Have you tried playing the game from the .exe file rather than through the launcher?

    Are you playing through Steam?

Is any part of your computer system (mouse, keyboard, modem, router) wireless?

Yes and it still happens. I stood in town while they were disabled and still had the issue.

Have you tried playing the game from the .exe file rather than through the launcher?

I usually run it by opening up the eso64 shortcut on my desktop. But this last time I opened the game using the launcher.

This is what's running on my PC. (Mind you I have google open so I can post this)

    Are you playing through Steam?

I bought the game from the ESO website back in 2016.

Is any part of your computer system (mouse, keyboard, modem, router) wireless?

Both Keyboard and Mouse are wireless but they were before any of this even started.

And I am sorry if I come across as being a little short, this all has me fit to be tied. I am cussing so bad right now I am putting all the drunken Irish sailors to shame.

All addons shut off . In VG. Ran from Crafting area to the steps leading to the Wayshrine. Then mounted up and rode back to the Crafting area. As you can see even with all addons disabled the ping starts creeping up until finally (last image) 999+ ping. Then tossed like today's trash to the Login Screen ...yet again. I wasn't even online for 5 minutes!

It's not addons that is causing it. It's something on Zos's side causing it.

Maybe it's to do with the high sunspot activity this week.... though if that were the case, you'd think I, only having satellite for connect, would also be having problems.

    True.

I don't know what it is that is causing it but I am about out of forum posts to read.

So there are couple ideas, not good ones mind you... There is a possibility that ZoS third party service Akamai is causing it, but you can't do anything unless you have a VPN like mudfish to redirect traffic to make it cleaner.

Finally and this is the most annoying you can try to uninstall and clean install ESO again to see if there are any errors that can't be fixed through the installer. Its annoying because you have redownload the patches. I call this a last ditch effort.

Have you tried other game like this to see if its ZoS servers? Like SWTOR or DCUO, etc

It looks like your routing to the servers may be passing through a bad node, are you on West, Central or Eastern part of the US?

Maybe a proxy or VPN can solve this problem. Although its kinda crappy that some players need to use a VPN or proxy for something that should be working out of the box 😐

Or see if the ISP - who have already checked everything at your end - can arrange a different routing so as to bypass the bad node. I know that players have found that to be both feasible and effective with various games in the past, including with my own ISP. Your problem is certainly sounding more and more like a network issue than anything at your end or with the server.

Indeed, although most of the tim my ISP didn't give a skeever's arse about my routing, but maybe yours can be different.

    True. Very true.
And I will just give up on trying to play this game first before I spend any more money to do so.

I know you are trying to help and I appreciate that, but I answered your last question in Post #3.

I love this game and it's my favorite out of all the other games I play, but I will go back to playing one of my other games full time and supporting it before I uninstall and reinstall this game. It's too large.

Besides, I just had to do a full factory reset on my PC less than 6 months ago. My OS had become corrupted.
So ofc, it got the OS and everything else put back on it fresh at that time.

Maybe they should try a system like RIFT has.
    Priority Login.
Subs get in to the game faster than non-subs.
On that game I never once had an issue with being able to stay online and play. Because I paid a Subscription.

Others (non-subs) had problems at times though. But not often.

And their Phasing, seemed way better than this game.

And instead of One Tameriel maybe instead we could have gotten a system like Rift's Mentoring system.
Where we could mentor up or down depending on what we were about to go do. I often went and helped friends who were lower level than myself just by mentoring down to their level so I wouldn't nerf their experience.

Maybe Zos should have took some notes on how they did it all.
Or better yet...maybe Zos should check and see if any of them need a job.
They would make a nice addition to the team.

Too bad the company sold out to someone else or I would go back there.

Yeah. It's so sad - because I won't even log in to RIFT any more at all, even to sit in my houses and contemplate my navel in the bathtub my daughter built! So bummed. I was seriously thinking about just going back (and subbing - because that's what I do....) and then I found out Trion did something so atrocious....

It looks like your routing to the servers may be passing through a bad node, are you on West, Central or Eastern part of the US?

    Central

Maybe a proxy or VPN can solve this problem. Although its kinda crappy that some players need to use a VPN or proxy for something that should be working out of the box 😐

    True. Very true.
And I will just give up on trying to play this game first before I spend any more money to do so.
And No, noone gets my stuff. It stays on the ship and goes down with it's Captain.

There are free VPN programs (like Proton) most limit bandwidth but to play ESO bandwidth doesnt matter, only latency, so maybe its worth a try of you're not willing to spend more (understandably).

Noted and thanks for the suggestion.

It's just awful that those of us whom want to play this game have to go to such measures just to play it.
We shouldn't be made to go to such drastic measures just to play a game.
The game company should do something about it if they want to keep people playing their game.

And since I know nothing about VPN's or how to go about setting one up, or if my ISP will even allow me to.... I have to sit and wait until Monday to find out if my ISP will even care. Heck I dont even know if my ISP even has to give me permission to have a VPN or not.

All I know is that I paid for 30 days of service and I am not getting that.
Money doesn't grow on trees and for some of us that live on fixed monthly incomes it is hard sometimes to even afford a $15 sub to a game.
And I am not about to just sit back and watch TV for my entertainment for the next 2 days.
Yes I have other games that I can play that dont lag me off the game as fast as I get on it, but I don't want to play them. i want to play the game I paid to play...ESO!

While doing some research about Vpn's and Proxy's, I came across this https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/442876/vpns-will-not-make-your-connection-to-eso-game-server-faster

I don't think that is a safe route.
    So I will pass.

I may just have to quit the game if I can't get any help from Zos.

Yes, I understand your concerns and I actually use a proxy with Proxifier to catch only ESO connections, since truly I wouldnt like to have any other connections with critical and personal data passing through some proxy.

Hope ZOS or your ISP helps you out :)

Trion went bankrupt and sold off their stuff to Gamigo. I came here from Archeage. That ship sank hard.

I d/c a lot. A LOT. But it's been ridiculous this weekend. For me, the problems started when Summerset launched, or somewhere around that time frame. No idea if it has anything to do with the akamai thing, as I am unsure when that started.

When you disable addons, make sure to move your SavedVariables folder outside to the desktop. For some reason there's a few addons that are still being processed despite having them 'disabled'. The caveat to this though, you'll have to probably reset some of them.

Aside from that, keep a list of everything that you've went through in regards to troubleshooting. Make a highly detailed post on everything you've done and hopefully people can get to the bottom of it.

Be sure to include your system specs and OS as well, that way they can test if it's all the same problem or if it's something more specific to the user.

We upgraded our internet service today from 200 mbs download/20 mbs upload to 300 mbs download /30 mbs upload. So far we haven't went above the 170-ish ping.

Hopefully that fixed it. Time will tell.
