Random Dungeon skipping

The levels of annoyance with this ability to jump to different dungeon and screw the team left behind has hit new levels.
Why ZOS doesn't fix it for good? It should give the option at least to the leader to kick everyone from the group, without requiring vote, who is not in the same dungeon but on different one.

Had numerous times given dungeons I haven't done with some of my toons like Frostvault, and half the team without saying anything to anybody, just jump to FG1 or COH1.
And there we sit without been able to kick them out, they "Complete Activity", and quit, and the rest haven't even got the XP needing to restart a new group finder process.

You can initiate a vote kick and see what happens. If the vote doesn't go through, I suppose you can report them. I'm not sure if it's an actionable offense but that's up to ZOS to decide. I definitely wouldn't do the dungeon jump in any sort of a pug group as I'd find it rude to do so, but others aren't overly concerned with that.

They should dissalow porting to a different dungeon in random pugs. Not really an issue with premade teams but since it seems people cant respect other peoples time, they need to prevent it.
Playing your character the way your character should play is all that matters. Play as well as you can but never betray the character. Doing so would make playing an mmoRPG pointless.

Man thats dirty, usually leave if its DLC dungeon with a PuG like Cradle of Shadows. Would rather eat the deserter buff then spend hours in that mess.

But had no idea that groups aren't tied to the dungeons formed in dungeon finder...

If you want to do a dlc dungeon, better your own group or do it on a pledge day. If you rather pug, you can say ‘i do 40k dps this will be easy’. When it’s a long dungeon you offered 0 assurances on your dps no one want to spend 1 hour with u.

    • Parse Food for PvE:(DPS) Ghastly Eye Bowl (increases Max Magicka by 4592 and Magicka Recovery by 459 for 2 hours).
    • Gold/Purple Food for Sorc PvP and Meme Tanking:(PvP) Clockwork Citrus Filet (increases Max Health by 3326, Health Recovery by 406 [useful if stage 1 vampire], Max Magicka by 3080, and Magicka Recovery by 338 for 2 hours). Witchmother's Potent Brew (Increase Max Magicka by 2856, Max Health by 3094, and Magicka Recovery by 315 for 2 hours.
    • Trash Potions when feeling cheap: Regular CP150 Essence of Magicka pots that I obtain frequently from playing the game or Crown Tri-Restoration Potion obtained from dailies.
    • Crafted Potions: Essence of Spell Critical (Bugloss, Lady's Smock, and Water Hyacinth). Without magelight this is my primary means of obtaining Major Prophecy on my Sorc, which increases my Spell Critical Rating. This also heals and restores magicka. Essence of Immovability (Columbine, Corn Flower, and Wormwood). I use this in PvP, since this gives me stealth detection, knockback immunity, and restores magicka (better to use it when competent allies are nearby, since it might reveal that you are surrounded by multiple players in stealth and you will not have an emergency pot available after use). Essence of Invisibility with only 2 ingredients (Blue Entoloma, Namira's Rot, Nirnroot, or Spider Egg). I use this in PvE content that requires stealth and if I need more speed I'll use Rapid Maneuver before using the potion. Essence of Invisibility with 3 ingredients (Blessed Thistle, Blue Entoloma, and Namira's Rot). Very useful in PvP alongside the vampire Dark Stalker passive, since you'll be invisible, ignore movement speed penalty while in Crouch, and you'll have a 30% movement speed boost from Major Expedition (I always have this slotted when riding from point A to B in PvP land, since gankers are always lurking). My templar/arcanist will mostly use Essence of Health (Tri-Stat Potion) Ingredients: (Mountain Flower, Columbine, and Bugloss).

Ok, when I want to burn a random normal out I don't wanna carry 5k dps people who need 25 soul gems to res them through easy dlc content for not even a thanks for the carry, its getting old. The faster I get it done the better.
Just port with them, get the easy dungeon done for the xp or whatever you running it for then organise a group of people from guilds or zone that actually want to run that dungeon with you.
If ZOS stop dungeon porting ill just leave the group its fine either way with me.
Ive tried helping people with tanking and dps and explaining heals should be renamed dps buff but I get told to stfu so im done with that now.

It is one thing to go to a different dungeon when something about the current one is not working properly. However, if I choose to do a random, I have every intention of doing the random that I actually get.

In fact, I told a guild group once that I would join them for a random but would not port to FG1. We've had one member asking specifically for randoms that will port to FG1 and I didn't want to be part of that. Turned out, we got FG1 as the actual random. Win win for all in that scenario I suppose.

Says who? I always ask if can play another dungeon when I get a dlc one. Like 96% of the time, people say no anyways, so I either say good luck right there or invariably when the team can't get past one of the bosses. The remaining 4% of the time, we either port to on of the pledges for the day or just to FG. And better time is had either way.

As someone who has done this when our group of three who wanted a late night, last run ‘fungeon’ found ourselves in RoM with a gung *** solo yoloer, I wish this would get fixed. Because this behaviour stinks.

The purpose of the random dungeon reward is to enable players to fill holes in their groups. It wasn’t intended to reward players for “doing the dungeon of my choice on my own”. However, its implementation is appalling.

As long as there is such a vast difference in difficulty between dungeons like FG1 and MHK, and as long as the reward for doing both is identical, you will see this exploit being used.

ZOS either don’t care about it or accept it as the price of forcing DLC dungeons on their subscribers. Or, more likely, wish it wasn’t so but lack the technical nous and/or will to do anything about it.

My stopgap solution would be to encourage those who want to do it to find three others and form their own groups. Then they can revel in the perpetual hell of FG1 on their own without bothering other players.

I did one get Arx Corinium and a guy wanted to travel to Fungal Grotto and when we said no he just left :D
Normal dungeons are easy to do if you only have 5 minutes for a random and want to teleport to Fungal then don't do a pug random.
Edit: ZOS should really have 2 different random dungeons one for normal and one for DLC.

DLC dungeon? Not for me, it's a time issue. Im fine with certain dungeons when I have the time to run them. When a friend asks me to run a rando for the xp, which I don't want to do, im still going to go, but im going to grab 2 more under the "Quick run ezxp" post in guild chat. I put my friends through enough hell that they want to run DLC dungeons, as long as it's the pledge as well  more efficient.

But moore problem is that there is a bug when you complete dungeon, and the some of the part quite the group but you stay in 2/4 and you want to play again the same dungeon and find replacement . System finds replacemnet new players but not resetrs the dungeon. And in a hand of it all group must disband if want to make it again its so dumb and radiculus.

It may not be a random normal for everyone. Group finder happily pairs people queued for specific dungeon and people queued for a random provided that they got same dungeon as their random choice. If someone queues for CoS, it shouldn't bother that player that the rest of the team got it as their random; they were fully aware what they're in for when they queued. If they didn't want to risk getting CoS, they shouldn't have been queueing in first place, not like they're entitled to get that XP boost. The price of reward includes the risk of getting a DLC dungeon.

You have to reset the dungeon, change between normal and vet and back again.

The purpose of the random dungeon reward is to get players to do the random dungeons to create filler for players who want to do specific dungeons without an full team.
You notice this as its an higher chance of getting an pledge dungeon as more players do them.

Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

People who do this when they've created with a 4 man aren't the ones who bother me about this, it's the ones who come in with 3 people then abandon the 1 person who was waiting for a specific dungeon, especially bad when that one is a DPS who has to wait forever in queue just for some idiots to abandon them back to queue. Had that happen too many times and it's that aspect that will ruin it for everyone

@zaria , wasn't noticing that, actually, it may be a statistical fluke you're observing - there's probably no hard data on that, and in my own experience, I can't quite say I was getting pledge dungeon as a random more often than any other. Without knowing the details of implementation, it's impossible to say if people's choice of random dungeon is skewed towards those which are more popular / have longer specific dungeon queue spots at the moment.

It doesn't even matter whether random reward is to give company to those gunning for specific dungeons, or just to engage people into exploring more dungeons. Case in point, if someone queued for random, got landed in a dungeon, then it's a poor taste to teleport away because other group members may actually not be running a random. Both parties got what they signed up for - random choice in one case, specific dungeon in another case. If someone doesn't like the conditions or suspects randomness to not be random enough - well, the solution is to close the finder window and return to questing or farming or housing or other less risky activities.
