Random gear broken, can't put items in bank or chests

I came back after a 3 month hiatus. After logging in, about half of all gear on my characters or in my inventory was broken (which it was not when I left). This includes random loot trash gear. I tried to repair using both a crown repair kit and the merchant but each time after I repaired, if I switched characters or relogged everything was broken again. On top of that, if I put an item in the bank or a house storage chest and relogged it put the item back on my character so I can't even transfer anything either. It's pretty much prohibiting me from playing the game. I've included a video to demonstrate. This is on a fresh install of ESO on windows Razer Blade 15" 2019 edition. No addons, etc.

    With the House Storage, if you had ESO Plus and let that lapse, you lost half your storage. Should not break things, but could make attempting to store something might have issues.

    My ESO plus did not lapse. If you watch the video, you can see what kind of issue it is and how it has nothing to do with space.

    That failed first post-Wrathstone login might be the culprit, make sure you include that information when contacting CS.

    I am having this same issue. I came back this week after a 2+ year break. Curiously this issue is not affecting my newly created Warden.

    Having the same issue, support told me the same thing. Hope they fix it soon... Cant freakin play with broken gear.

    It's server specific too. So for example a friends NA characters are fine but EU are completely broken in this way. Any fix expected today or tomorrow?

    Yes I have this as well. EU server, Been AWol for over a year - on return all armour is broken and returns to broken state after logout.

    Update. Applies to all my alts except my warden, which was probably the one I was last playing a year ago.

    @ZOS_GinaBruno I've lost items due to this bug. I trashed the bugged items and the game kicked me out with an inventory of legit items. When I logged back in, my legit items were gone and replaced with the broken ones. I've lost some very expensive stuff. Will we get these items back?

    I'm running into the same issue, opened a ticket on the 23rd of March, hopeful thanks to the positive comments in this thread. It hasn't been resolved yet, but I did get a reply saying that they'll look into it. I am still playing (on the affected character even), but it's incredibly annoying that it keeps happening. For now, it seems to only affect my inventory, not my bank, so that's something at least. I'm still hoping for a fix to happen soon. (and I'll keep people updated, of course)

    I have this bug. Its major. It can be exploited. Yet account still not fixed or any reply since 21/03/2019 06:26 PM.

    Why are some accounts getting fixed within 24 hours, and others still waiting after days?

    Seriously need someone to take control in customer support for this bug and get it friggin sorted.

    Still waiting 4 days for my warden to be fixed. I pay membership for this game but im thinking of just canceling it and going to another MMO. I want to know why others area getting the issue fixed within a day but im sitting at 4 days.

    Mind you theyve fixed this issue for me before and judging by the emails they sent me it took them not even 35 minutes to resolve it.

    I have the same issue with my characters; When I log in all of my items with a durability are broken, all of the old items I try to put in storage get moved back into those characters bag when I log them out and if I try to sell/decon the gear/consumables I get the gold/mats, but when I log back in the items are back in my bag like it never happened.

    I sent in a ticket the day I realised this was a problem and this is the only response I got;

    So, so far I've been told to check the forums, which I did, and on this post the only thing that could help was a mod saying to send a ticket.

    I'm not going to send another ticket just to be told to check the forums, where I've been instructed to send in another ticket, that's just an infinite loop without actually fixing my problem.

    This is all I’ve received from support

    “So after further review, we are investigating an issue where recently returned players may become stuck in a state where their armor will continue to break each time they relog, or difficulty moving things in and out of their bank/storage containers. We are currently working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible, and will follow up as soon as we have news to share on the status of the issue.”

    What I don’t understand is some people report their issue as being fixed. This bug literally makes the game I’ve been paying for since 2014 unplayable, I sure hope a fix is soon. I lodged a ticket over a week ago.

    Been waiting 4 days now. I've made other tickets to try to bump the previous one but I've been getting the generic answer of "we are looking into it."

    How is customer support looking into it if i see others accounts being fixed within 12 hours? So therefore if someone is getting the issue resolved how come its taking me the better part of 4 days to get this taken care of?

    The game is literally unplayable. I cannot acquire any new gear. Which makes me laugh because this game is solely based on acquiring new gear to make your character stronger.

    Also i see that others are just repairing their gear which is fine and dandy but for some reason for me my gear is level 10..... I'm cp 218...... what the f***. I'm trying to complete content while wearing level 10 gear.

    Can someone from ZOS just get my account handled already? I've been paying for plus on and off since '14. This is not how i should be treated.

    I got like maybe 24 more hours in me before i cancel my subscription and go play another MMO.
    It will be 5 days by then.
    Ive been sitting here just waiting for them to fix it, game is unplayable on my warden.

    Finally got myself to this forum trying to find a fix! Feeling very forgotten....I lost my sellitrix shoulders that took me forever to get along with many of the other issues you all have stated. I feel as though this should get way more attention since this bug could possibly lead to duplicated items. I urge anyone else who has this bug to not take advantage of that however because I could lead to your account being banned. I found this out with my psijic ambrosia when I was trying to yet them on my new character. If my math is correct I should have only 5 left but it still shows 11! Meanwhile its almost impossible to play on my older characters and my new one does not have access to anything in the bank.
