You can just drag one to a desk and save the crowns, right?
Unless, of course, it does something special.
Highly doubt it will do something special but you are right. Lmao.
Perhaps...?

In the 70's and 80's people sold pet rocks in real life (mainly in the USA but I saw them in the UK too, not sure about the rest of the world). Some of them were literally just a rock in a box which made all kinds of silly claims about it's suitability as a pet and all the fun kids could have with it. Some had googly eyes glued on to make it a bit more pet like.
They were still sold in the 90's and are actually still around now, but no where near as popular. I've seen them in other games before too. Main ones I remember are Neopets (where they were pet pets - literally a pet for your pet) and Guild Wars 2.
Which is why I'm expecting they might follow you around - because they do in other games. Not fully animated of course, the GW2 one just bounces along (I assume it's a magic rock, but then part of the story of that game is everything in the world has magical energy of some sort).
That and it's being advertised as a pet rather than a furnishing, so I assume I can equip it as a pet when my character is out in the world, and it's not just going to stay in one spot indefinitely while I move around the zone. Of course it could just periodically 'teleport' to you like other pets do if they get stuck, but it would be so much better if they added a bit of animation to it.

But seriously, did the Design Team (or whoever came up with this idea) watched too much Spongebob?

I will also be getting the glorious stick horse.
I suspect Pebble Pal will not appear at all when you are moving.
Instead, after a few a few moments of standing still, he just appears... Ominously.
I'd die laughing if it was a rock that is tied to your character's waist via a string or something so that it follows you around.

He claims the original pet rock product was in reality an very funny book.
Yes guess it was copied as you can hardly copyright the idea but the book was obviously copyrighted.
Guess people bought it for the giggles to.

But if the broomstick horse is just as fast as a normal mount, and during the entire year i see people using a broomstick mount while being followed by a rock....? The game will have become silly and un-TES like. I doubt i would stick with it really.

Agreed. But I'd certainly buy a lava lamp and some black light posters for my mansion!
