Should we get more furnishing slots?

Zos, when can we expect more furnishing slots for housing. All the notable houses can look very empty with the 700 item limit. Especially the Villa, 700 items is just not enough. What do you all think?

There was a "fire code" meter which puts a hard cap on how many furnishings you can place on a lot. I decided to disable it one time using a cheat device and as soon as I went a little bit over the game started lagging like crazy. FPS dropped and the game tended to stutter a lot.

While it may be a bit difficult to raise the cap due to some technical difficulties, the logic that "they know we want it so because we don't have it it means they can't give it to us" is not valid logic. Look how long it took to get the outfit system, people wanted that for ages.
Also, they can use consoles to excuse basically anything they want, doesn't mean that's the complete truth. I don't have knowledge of programming or anything like that but I call bull**** that they can't figure something out.2 -

I didn't make it up. You can call it whatever you want. It doesn't change the facts.
The outfit system is not a valid comparison to interactable housing items. They arent even close.
If you took some time to actually research the history if this topic you would find this has been discussed numerous times since housing came out. There are 3 current running threads in the housing section. It's been discussed on ESO Live. It's been discussed with the player reps. So they are very aware we want more slots.
The devs looked into it. They directly stated on ESO Live that they can not do it now because of technical limitations on consoles and low end PCs.
So go convince everyone on potato computers to go buy a $2000 PC.
Then convice Sony and Microsoft to develop and make a console on par with high end PCS and convince people to go buy that $700-$1000+ console.
I have a beefy PC and a few large houses.
I would love more slots. However I dont want to have 5 minute loading screens to enter a house. I am not willing to have them reduce other game assets and I am not willing to suffer more reduced game performance for a freaking house.
Sometimes in life we have to accept that we cant always have what we want instead of having a temper tantrum like a whiny 3 year old in a toy store.

When you go into the Housing Editor to retrieve/place items and you browse, there is a pop up box in the upper left of your screen. It tells you currently used/max slots.Edited by Donari on October 19, 2018 1:01AM0 -

Experts in game coding have explained how no PC can handle a large increase in the cap. Consoles have only a slightly lower capability.
The solution is to reduce the volume of homes so players feel the ratio of slots to volume is sufficient.

Currently while I have used 699/700 of my slots I have only used 10/100 'Collectible' slots, should it not be possible to open those up for general use? Look at some of the areas that we went in pre chapters with the hundreds of items often on screen at a time little lone in the instance. Even if their is a technical reason, lets punish the entire community to accommodate people playing on the cheapest junkiest tech of 2013 because they didnt want to spend a few extra hundred dollars and get a real PC( likely instead spent that on a few $60 games lol instead of the thousands of free ones on a PC)
