They do bother me but we have to tolerate / ignore them
It depends on how lore-breaking it is. Tasteless and ridiculous names do bother me a bit, but I wouldn't force people to adhere to naming conventions. We should be able to play ESO however we want - short of actual offensive or hurtful actions, of course.

Lore breaking names don't bother me
I like my freedom to pick my names. I got names like following below.

    Tasear
    Starlight Whisperer
    Moonlight Saint
    Faithless Walker
    Taintless Shadow
    Sinful moon
    Wind Caller
    Heartless Darkness

Lore breaking names don't bother me
I always use lore-friendly names. Personally, I could never stick with a character that doesn't have a lore-friendly name, they're characters to me, not just toons.

But that said, seeing lore breaking names doesn't bother me at all. Sometimes they can be pretty funny.

I do of course like to immerse myself in the RPG's I play but I realize that, as an online game, it requires a lot more suspension of disbelief, especially when it comes to other players in the world. If you expect anything else, you're just gonna be disappointed.

My main is called Your-Ex, so unless you used to date a high elf or an argonian IRL it's not lore friendly.

Lore breaking names don't bother me
Lore breaking names do not bother me because for some reason the game options ignore that I want to see character names, instead I see @xXxkillaxXx etc so I have names switched off completely usually.

    No problem with any names.
I do, however, get creeped out by rp'ers.
I dont, however, publicly post a poll that is anti rp, as it seems facist to censor gamers.

Could give a F. Real life > worrying about a "lore breaking name based on super generalizated imposed limitations based on a subjective perception fantasy world."

Can't you maybe accept that just like irl, there are hippy parents, illiterate that attempt to spell ( I had a student named *** that the parents thought spelled Vagena) dorky parents who name kids of some sci fi or fantasy novel, radicals that name their toon after revolutionaries :D or reactionaries like then far right people naming their kids after some german or italian facist, crack heads coming down and naming they're new born crack babies. In short, there are outliers, cultural diffusion, and societies are not fixed.

Turn off name plates and don't look at peoples names Problem = Solved, also I am gonna name my necromancer, the most lore breaking name possible just to spite people it bothers since it seems to tilt people so much.

Really though, arent floating name plates themsleves lore breaking? How extreme do people want to get?

Well, there are some rules in place, like you can't have the same letter 3 times in a row.

Also I believe that a character can't have a number in it's name. Or a capital letter that is not in the beginning of the word.

Aside from that, I think freedom is key when choosing names, online and irl.

Like what if you were found as a little altmer baby by breton parents and they decided to name you "Richard", that could be a totally valid reason for an altmer to have a non aldmeri name.

Like my Orc called Angel le Fey. Left outside a monastary near Wayrest as a baby.

And people who give their child a perfectly normal name, for the culture/country they were born in, and then the child has to deal with people from elsewhere who don't seem to understand that there is more than one culture or language in the world.

Lore breaking names don't bother me
This might be a bit of a personal issue...I am somoene who always chooses an RP server if only so i dont have to deal with all the "Noobhunter5000XXX" of this world.
I do the same when available. I was always on a RP server in EQ, EQ2, and vanilla WoW. That said, the only game and server that was really strict about it was FV (Firiona Vie) in EQ where you would be guaranteed to get a personal /tell from someone suggesting you re-roll your character with an appropriate name, and be reported if you didn't change it.

Now? It only bothers me if someone is name trolling. By that, I mean they make a purely disposable character with an offensive name to bait for attention.
For a moment, nothing happened. Then, after a second or so, nothing continued to happen. - Douglas Adams

It is a rare mind indeed that can render the hitherto non-existent blindingly obvious. The cry 'I could have thought of that' is a very popular and misleading one, for the fact is that they didn't, and a very significant and revealing fact it is too. - Douglas Adams

Lore breaking names don't bother me
I don't look to players for lore. I look to NPCs for that. Other players are just other players. It would be different if I was playing GTA V RP. But I don't see other players as really being part of the world.

I'm also entertained by ridiculous names.

I have been at the heavy end of game developers dictating your name. The wound to this day runs deep. (in a online char not really real sort of way)

In another MMO many years ago I had a character called Bingo Baggins.

I loved (at the time) my Bingo Baggins. He was an epic end game raider, minding his own business.

An admin contacted me on in-game chat and told me that because Bingo was a type of gambling game and I had 1 minute to make up a new name or it would be changed for me. Immediately right there and then.

It was actually an unpleasant experience as I was paying to play this game.

In actual FACT Bingo Baggins was a character in the books that the game got its lore from. THE ADMIN WAS JUST PLAIN WRONG and didn't know the lore as I did. Look it up if you want to!

Of course I wasn't listened to and had to make up another name, in a few seconds. It later on cost me money to change it again when I had thought about it.

Then Grandulf12 ran past me and NOOBHunter of course. Not happy.
