This is destroy cloak for magblades, not stamblades.

It is more, I cannot figure out how to use the counters, or choose not to, so lets just nerf it. It really is that simple.Colecovision wrote: »Why does everyone hate cloak so much? Those that hate cloak so much are those who either choose to not figure out how to use the counters or plain choose to not use them.
Some people just think if it is to much of a challenge for them it should be nerfed to their level.

My minor issue with it is that it allows players to not pay consequences for their bad decisions especially if they are a vampire.
My major issue with it is that it has fundamentally changed the landscape of pvp for the worse in this game. Half of cyrodill is nightblades now spamming it. It makes for an exhausting, annoying and unfun gaming experience. The constant spam of bow arrows/draining shot from gankblades while you are trying to enjoy the game and then not being able to kill them quickly because they are spamming cloak only to have them appear again and repeat. It’s horrible/silly implementation and it holds up/ruins the gaming experience for those who don’t have it so as a result they roll nightblades as well thus exacerbating the problem.

The only thing that has changed on this subject is we have more counters to cloak and cloak has been nerfed twice, iirc. I know at least once.
There are more that gank than just NBs for starters and there are probably better ways to take care of gankers than to nerf an entire class. This sounds more like an excuse again.

To be honest. I dont really care what you think it sounds like or whatever myopic lens you see the world through that makes you think there is a motive behind a legitimate concern. Numbers and data speak volumes and it isn’t hyperbole or situational irony to observe the sheer number of nightblades in Cyrodiil and connect the dots. Balance would imply that nightblades comprise 20 percent (with statistical error) of the pvp population. That is obviously not the case. I don’t believe in nerfing classes with an iron fist and I certainly don’t think it is fair to penalize players for poor game design. So I am not sure what can be done. I do know the pvp landscape has changed because of it and it’s my belief that change has been negative. If a player is crutching on one skill than you can reasonably say it may be a skill issue. If the majority of players are doing it, than it is a design issue. This is the same issue with dks with fossilize and wings. Two skills put in place to cover up for what is otherwise a lackluster and mediocre class toolkit. Nightblades need a viable and strong class survivability package; just not sure if cloak as currently implemented should be the answer.

5 class and 20 percent too much? Where do you get these numbers?
im pretty sure there are more sorcs than nbs, which in your opinion would be more OP than nb.
Before I go on...yes I play a Stam NB. A pretty solid one at that (in PvP at least).
I get pulled out of cloak ALL THE TIME. Almost every time I fight a competent player in a BG they can bring me out of cloak 50-70% of the time. It takes precise timing, positioning and resource management to successfully cloak for the full duration and it took me a damn long time to get it down.
It amazes me how many counters to cloak this game provides and there are still all these people that don't use them. There's so many that I'm not even going to bother listing them. If you choose to not run a cloak counter, then you have to live with the consequences of that choice.
For the record, my PvP build has no AoE skills or Mark Target and I have just as hard a time with other NB's as other classes do. I made that choice so I deal with it. That's the beauty of a game like this is that you get to make the choices as to which will be your character's strengths AND weaknesses. You can't have it all.
It's funny how people talk about cloak being the best defensive ability in the game when I've come across countless players that can out heal all my burst and still do enough damage to kill me if I'm not careful. I'm not saying nerf healers or tanks, I don't have a problem with them at all. That's their strength. Cloak is ours. Learn to counter.

What numbers and data are you providing here? I have yet to see any. If you are going to play that card I do expect to see actual numbers and real data presented instead of hyperbole about them.

Glad to help since it is a pretty basic thing that without it your entire previous reply to me was void of value and appears to just argue for the sake of arguing as a result.

People use counters. The counters should be buffed. They sure as hell don't work most of the time. High cost, guesswork, small area of effect. A lot of times even if you have a counter going, it just won't work
