Does that take up a ring slot ?
Unless things have really changed and I didn't notice because I normally do writs on one character; turning in normal writs with items "someone else" made shouldn't make a difference.
Normal writs need crafted items; doesn't have to be crafted by you, but crafted by someone.
Master writs need to be made by the character who accepted the writ.

With consumables it doesn’t matter. With clothing, woodworking and blacksmith, you have to craft it on the character who turns it in. Been this way for years.
... I always assumed writs and even more ring of Mara was linked to character ID not the actual name. That the crafted by used the caracter id to find name from database.
Even if character name is stored in item name it should still be linked to id.
