None. I don't use any. Addons in online games are borderline cheating, imo. Unless you're talking about something cosmetic anyway.

They can't be considered "borderline cheating" if the game principals themselves allow them.

Now that said - I can see how someone on console could feel that way. But that's on MS or Sony....

They absolutely can be considered to be borderline cheating. I literally just did it. I'm still doing it.

You get access to information that people without the addons either don't have or have to spend much more time looking for. Particularly when talking about the addons that provide pricing information about the guild traders.

Besides, they cheapen the experience. They eliminate the sense of discovery in a lot of cases or give that unfair advantage. Not to mention when they break after an update or just flat out corrupt game data.

Nope. I'm not using them and I'm not impressed by anyone that does. They should all be banned.

You have a pretty strong opinion on something you don't know much about.

There are add-ons that do the opposite of cheapening the experience. Cleaner HUD, Darker Nights, Free Dialog Camera, Slow Dialogs, True Exploration, ... to name a few.
There are add-ons that fix stupid UI "features". Like keybindings not shared across characters (Votan's Keybinder).
There are add-ons that help people with visual disabilities.

Inventory Insight is the only one I would actually have a hard time playing this game without. I have 5 years of sets stored across 14 characters, and I'm always moving them around to test new builds on various characters. I might actually quit this game if I had to inventory manage that manually.

Not having the various map pin addons (map pins, treasure hunter, etc), or the research grid motif tracking function would significantly hurt QOL for me.

I have 40+ add-ons, but I have to go with Dark UI.

It gives you the sleek console UI on PC. The PC UI is hideous.

No one mentioned Dolgubon's Lazy Writ Crafter yet?? Daily crafting writs came to a screeching halt just recently after the last patch did something funky (since fixed, thx Dolgubon!). One guildmate even likened it to being thrown back into the stone ages for the very brief time it was down. I really feel bad for the console peeps who haven't experienced the 'crack' addiction that is having your daily crafting writs made for you.

    Combat:
    Srendarr or equivalent (buff tracker)
    LUI or equivalent (frames)
    Raid Notifier
    Combat Metrics
    Asylum and HoF status panel
Dressing Room or equivalent (swapping sets/skills between fights)
    Untaunted
    Auto repair/recharger (name escapes me)
Improved death recap (ingame death recaps are actually terrible and half the time don't tell you anything)

    Non-combat:
    Inventory Insight
    Skyshards
    Lorebooks

Pretty much covers all my addons. Say what you will about addons that assist you in combat but I actually don't understand how some aren't base-game features. Base game needs at least the following:
Functional and customizable buff tracker like srendarr (feel bad for you console)
    Combat metrics equivalent
    Inventory insight
Customizable frames like you can do with LUI
Probably dressing room as well, seems like it would be cancerous on console to manually swap sets and skills between fights if you're pushing a trial that isn't a mini-trial.

OK, here we go again. Just for clarity.

    Yes. They are cheats.

BUT - just as in the game Baldur's Gate, they are legitimate options for the players to use. In BG, you simply have to decide to turn them on or leave them off. In Baldurs Gate they ARE called Cheats. But the word "Cheats" is Not a bad word UNLESS the company does Not want you to use them. In that case, you would be breaking company rules.

This game is Huge. I do NOT enjoy just wandering around Hoping I will bump into something I need to do. Having the Destinations addon is a necessity for me. I do not want to spend hours riding around wondering where or even IF the next wayshrine is.

    EDIT: phrasing
