You could use sets as well to compensate, which every PvP'er did before this change. It just doesn't work well with any PvE content. It's just a bit useless, and it's not the only racial that is, but it sure is one of them.

Yeah and now they're 1st or 2nd, depending on the class so... from 3rd to 1st/2nd, that's quite a buff. Even WITH the Stamina restore. How dare they being better now (guess what, mostly due to the Khajiit nerf but the outcome is the same).
What a logic. Altmer got nerfed but because khajit got nerfed harder Altmer actually wasnt nerfed but buffed. I find it questionable to justify one unnecessary Change with another unnecessary Change that had more of an Impact.
Khajit is in the same place as Altmer, where values of the passive in Question could´ve or rather should´ve been tweaked/adjusted to achieve better balance instead of removing it outright.
Sanguinor2 wrote: »They didnt kill Altmer, however the change was pretty unnecessary if we look at pts data we see that Altmer with magicka recovery is even with Breton and at the time was behind khajit. So yeah a change that made a passive only useful in pvp/ very limited pve Content (and even in those its more of a l2p/lacking experience issue) without being necessary.
Imo the number simply shouldve been adjusted instead of loosing the mag Sustain entirely but carefully adjusting values is not something ESO balancing is known for, they´d much rather kick stuff into the trash can instead of Looking for a middle Ground/tweaking numbers.
I'm running an Altmer melee MagBlade, and using Introspection on my back bar to keep my health topped off.I didn’t mind the stamina return, if you pvp the difference is noticible.
Issue’s the passive 5% less damage while channeling. Useless if you’re not a templar.
Altmer’s still a good Templar choice. For anyone else there are better options. The channeled thing pigeon holes the race as Templar only if you want to min-max.

Do you think the 5% damage reduction matters that much here, or will I be better off going Dunmer for the increased Stamina pool?
I plan to use this toon as a dueling build eventually.
All classes have at least a useless passive depending on the content... Can Orcs make use of the Swift Warrior passive in PvE? Can Dunmer make a right use of the Ruination Passive, buffing both wpn and spell dmg in PvE? What utility has Hunter's Eye for a Bosmer? Or the Extra Gold for an Imperial in PvP?
I think that people who complains about a specific racial only plays that race, which makes their complaints hard to take them seriously.
