How would you work a 24 player ultimate trial?

Alright, how would you guys a symbol a team of 24 players in this ultimate trial on normal mode and hard mode? This colossal behemoth monstrous trial should it be put in the game? Also, this is too much territory that's on a high level of results on a good and bad side of things. The reason Why I would not do a poll discussion is there's a normal mode point of view and a hard mode point of view to it.

It would be mostly dead due to the lack of just having at least 15 to 17 people in a guild that have the skill and most importantly, (a flexible schedule). Other then that it will certainly lead to more issues, none of them that I would see as being good. Best thing most people want to see is Zos fixing the game performance and addressing the servers.

I have a confession to make I brought this up as a compares into a campaign for Dungeons & Dragons to figure out if it has the same format with player groups and why Dungeons & Dragons do not want to have an overpopulated amount of people and in a Campaign, the results are almost the same as MMORPG'S.

I've done a 3rd Ed. D&D campaign over a semester where we had around six to eight players around a table.

It was amazing. The roleplay was fantastic. Our DM did a great job adapting the book campaign for our world and characters. We still think back on the amazing moments from that campaign.

Combat took forever. It was a horrid slog where 6 second worth of combat would take 30-45 minutes to resolve for the entire party and a single encounter ate up hours of the night. There were several fights where we used the back of the board we were using for intiative tracking because there were so many players and enemies.

Which was fine when we were college students, it was Friday night, and homework could be safely pushed off til Sunday night and its not like we had other things to do with our time. There was caffeine, and pizza, and great times to be had.

Fast forward a couple years when we all have real jobs and families. Our last few D&D campaigns have largely fallen through due to an inability to get 3 to 4 people online at the same times consistently for the length of time needed to play. And after that college campaign, our DMs said "Never again, no more than 4 players at a time, max." Encounters were hard to balance for difference levels of character power and took way, way too long to resolve.

So I figure that can be extrapolated to ESO trials, to some degree. The more time commitment required, the less people can play due to IRL commitments that come first. The more players involved, the harder it is to balance for everyone and all the classes/roles. Putting it all together takes a huge amount of effort from the DM/Devs, and takes a lot of matching investment of effort from the players if its going to be a long-term success.

I'm thinking one shot mechanics, and heavy mechanics that leave no room for error. Should be a blast with 24 people.

There is a reason 40 person WoW raids went to 25 and now how 10 person raids are primarily more popular.

Having a core of 20+people with people willing to be backup is a very difficult task to do since not many people are willing to be backups.

TL:DR. There would have to be more incentive to do 24 person trials: ex more loot.
