You all who hate shortcuts in the easiest content, probably loot every barrel, crate, sack, and reread the same books while the group clears the content for you.
EDIT: If somebody asks at the beginning, a vote determines. Other than that ask for a slo-mo group in /z or /g
Taking the way the content was meant to be played and calling it "slo-mo". Everyone's in too much of a damn hurry.
There's shortcut in most dungeons. It's common practice to reward exploration and experience players in game design. Have one way to do something is bad design.

Are you implying that the shortcut was an intentional thing? Because I imagined it was probably found my mistake by players who fell into the water and realized they could get out near that little area if you perform your timed jump correctly.
It seems unlikely to me that it was an intended design of the dungeon map.

Lots of cliffs and shoreline in that dungeon, they had to make an area where you could get back up if you fell.

I recorded someone in my group exploiting the so-called "waterfall shortcut", as shown below.
if you say at the beginning of the dungeon that you want to do all the bosses, usually people do it.

The intended way to get out of the river is clearly through the cave that takes you back to the starting room, ZoS clearly never intended this skip to be a thing.Hand_Bacon wrote: »Are you implying that the shortcut was an intentional thing? F'ing Yoshi.
By nerfing it i mean, make it so you can not jump from waterfall to skip 75% of the dungeon. It's just bad design overall and confusing for many new players.

Agree. The game is supposed to be enjoyable. Get some people together, do a dungeon, have some laughs. It's always so fun to join a dungeon group and no one says a damn word. Not even hello.

I can say that if you run with our group we are talking and joking all the time. We just try to have fun and laugh when someone decides to jump wrong, for instance, in Vaults of Madness and fall to their deaths. Dungeons should not something to be taken so seriously or done with the attitude of run & kill, run & kill, run & kill (silence on talking) , run & kill, run & kill, finished and exit... IMO!
Also... we finish the entire dungeon and let those who never have done them before go through at their pace so that they get the full story from the quest.

There is a waterfall in FG1?
I've never been so far in this dungeon. My groups always wipe at the first boss. Could someone please explain the mechanics of this boss?
