In my opinion eso isn't really entertaining to watch people play, so unless sovietwomble or jameskii start uploading videos of it I'm not really keen on watching anyone play it.

I find the content of this person extremely unique and enjoyable actually and yet they have only 110 subs :|?

Does nobody like this kind of content or something? (specifically the emote dance videos haha)

Why does this person not have more subs? We should be encouraging content creation like this!

A lot of people don’t care about YouTube gamers. Myself included.

but you do care about the game correct?

whether you do or not like gaming youtubers is irrelevant, subbing to them helps their respective game communities because it attracts more people and encourages more content which then in turn encourages more people. Constant cycle that can only be a positive for the game overall. Which is why I suggest supporting small channels like this that have good content.

That means we would actually have to care enough to take the time to stop playing ESO, go to YouTube, find this person's channel, and then subscribe. To do that for every content creator on YouTube who makes videos about games that I like would mean I would never have time for anything else. No thank you.

I'm not going to fake interest in something I don't like, even if it may help the game I play.

These videos should stand on their own merit, as should ESO, and not be involved in some false social media circle jerk.

I subscribe to people for their content. I even watch YouTubers who play games I don't because I enjoy their videos. I don't do it because of what game they play

115? That’s 112 more than me and 115 more than my shared channel with my friend (to be fair shared channel hasn’t got much content) My own channel is mostly eso housing videos, a few other vids scattered in between. Don’t see me begging for more subs, why? Because I know some content may not appeal to some people, Also because I know it takes time for people to notice sometimes. As for subbing due to playing the same game... uh no thanks, there’s some people who play the same games as me who I dislike very much, there’s people who play different games to what I play and play on different platforms who I happen to enjoy very much too.

There's couple of reasons why people like gaming channels: the streamer/gamer is an interesting person AND that the game is enjoyable to watch. (=game is streamable) Now, without touching the videos, I can't say about how interesting the said person in the channel is, but what I can tell is the game is not streamable.

Now, for example Hearthstone is quite streamable - enjoyable to watch. You as a viewer can think what you would do as the player. You can figure out tactics and the streamers can do some goofy stuff in game.

Other quite streamable game is Sea of Thieves. The game is designed to be streamable. There's tons of goofy stuff to do, like shoot yourself from a cannon, get drunk or play musical instruments. The viewing experience is there and it's fun.

ESO on the other hand: it is a story-driven game, which itself is a quite turnoff for people watching, because people don't want to spoil the story. There's not much funny things to do. The gameplay is quite repetitive. This game is just not designed to be streamed, it is more interesting to play than to watch.

I will occasionally watch Youtubers that give some insight to class abilities, new gear or to glean idea's for builds. That being said, you did ask for opinions and proceeded to tell the last guy his opinion was irrelevant.

    Context matters.

it was only irrelevant in the sense that generally speaking it doesn't matter because if you want to support community content generally to help the community as a whole then you'll do it regardless of whether you like the channel or not. I do it with plenty.

You cant make people subscribe to channels out of obligation. Thats not how it works. You sub because the person has videos that entice you, grab you. People arent going to sub to every single channel that has an ESO video.

      • Gold/Purple Food for Sorc PvP and Meme Tanking:(PvP) Clockwork Citrus Filet (increases Max Health by 3326, Health Recovery by 406 [useful if stage 1 vampire], Max Magicka by 3080, and Magicka Recovery by 338 for 2 hours). Witchmother's Potent Brew (Increase Max Magicka by 2856, Max Health by 3094, and Magicka Recovery by 315 for 2 hours.
      • Trash Potions when feeling cheap: Regular CP150 Essence of Magicka pots that I obtain frequently from playing the game or Crown Tri-Restoration Potion obtained from dailies.
      • Crafted Potions: Essence of Spell Critical (Bugloss, Lady's Smock, and Water Hyacinth). Without magelight this is my primary means of obtaining Major Prophecy on my Sorc, which increases my Spell Critical Rating. This also heals and restores magicka. Essence of Immovability (Columbine, Corn Flower, and Wormwood). I use this in PvP, since this gives me stealth detection, knockback immunity, and restores magicka (better to use it when competent allies are nearby, since it might reveal that you are surrounded by multiple players in stealth and you will not have an emergency pot available after use). Essence of Invisibility with only 2 ingredients (Blue Entoloma, Namira's Rot, Nirnroot, or Spider Egg). I use this in PvE content that requires stealth and if I need more speed I'll use Rapid Maneuver before using the potion. Essence of Invisibility with 3 ingredients (Blessed Thistle, Blue Entoloma, and Namira's Rot). Very useful in PvP alongside the vampire Dark Stalker passive, since you'll be invisible, ignore movement speed penalty while in Crouch, and you'll have a 30% movement speed boost from Major Expedition (I always have this slotted when riding from point A to B in PvP land, since gankers are always lurking). My templar will mostly use Essence of Health (Tri-Stat Potion) Ingredients: (Mountain Flower, Columbine, and Bugloss).

Me too. Add in maintaining a sub and purchasing DLCs/expansions I'm interested in. Plus, I watch YT stuff on my tablet and since Google insists on keeping me logged in unless I uninstall/reinstall the app, I'd never log in to subscribe to anything, even if I was interested in the vids.

The only gaming content I watch is for games I might be interested in playing or the occasional funny review of disasters like Bless.

To me, this sounds like promotion for someone’s YouTube channel, which probably shouldn’t be allowed on this forum.

I'm not big on Youtube and social medias myself, but I do frequent Twitch when I can. It's not just about "watching other people play games". It's about being part of a community. If you find the right twitch streamer, it's essentially like hanging out with a bunch of friends while your other friend plays the same game you're all interested in.
