Implement Aggro Tables

Simply put Aggro/Threat/Heat or what ever other terminology you wish to call it, needs to be implemented And Tanks need methods of Group AOE Aggro as well as making it easier for Tank to Gain and Hold Aggro.

    trash dies so fast (most times) and most of the tanks have a grouping skill slotted. If anything a few classes (NB!!!) could benefit from that very thing, a good cc, but aoe aggro is not needed in this game and only makes for a lazy tank. How hard is it to apply your taunt to the big guys and maybe a few stragglers?
    No, Aoe taunts/aggro not needed for sure. Now, people to play and que as proper tanks...that's needed!!! ;)

    I"ll explain who really whines about aoe aggro. It's not actual tanks, it's dps who can't melt smaller mobs in that 8-10 seconds when tank keeps them stacked/immobilized.

    Give me an AOE taunt and I'll stack health and permablock, while the healer keeps me alive.

    It'll be really boring.

    ESO doesnt have an AOE taunt by design. You aren't supposed to taunt everything.

    Open with an AOE attack to grab initial aggro, taunt priority targets, and then use crowd control skills to stack up mobs so the DDs can kill them. Healers and DDs are supposed to be able to handle attacks from a few untaunted adds.

    Nah, The way ESO does it is better than just having a tank grab the whole room and stand there with them. Tanks have other tools to help gather up trash enemies and make it easier for DPS to burn them down.

    Tanks already have an aggro meter, there's a timed debuff with a taunt that should be refreshed every 8-9 seconds.

    A group taunt would be useful but also make the game too easy. As it is now the tanks need to pick up priority targets that hit hard (usually the dudes with the big 2h weapons or sword and shield that like to bash) while the DPS murders priority caster targets that hit hard with magic. Archers/Healers need to be interrupted. This is fairly consistent in most parts of the game.

    Considering that there’s not enough tanks in the game- I’d say it’s a good idea to make tanking more fun for tanks.

    It could potentially keep DPSes from queuing up as a tank...

    I wonder how many of these naysayers are actually tanks. :|
    Want to enjoy the game more? Try both PvP (crybabies) and PvE (carebears). You'll get a better perspective on everyone's opinion.

    That would not make tanking more fun. It would only make it easier.

    DPS will still queue as tanks though because they still won't want to tank.

    Instead of looking for a group AOE, the DDs running from trash mobs should run to the tank so that the tank can root the trash mobs and the DDs can melt them.

    I feel like a agro table for single target on bosses for tanks will help control bosses over all. there are allot of bosses in the game that have random attack mechanics and requires the tank to reagro the boss. It would be better if we could support the team dealing with other adds and stuff. But maybe thats just me.

    That's the way the skill is designed, it ticks off after 15 secs. Again, if it didn't do that and just stayed on the target.....hit and forget, lazy tanking 101. Skill now requires you to pay attention to what is going on and be ACTIVE in the fight and the role.
    And to add you also have Inner Fire, ranged taunt and Frost staff passive if traited correctly is a taunt. SO um yeah, not sure what you all want really.

    I main a tank. I regularly level alts as tanks.

    I prefer the current system where I have to taunt priority targets and hard-hitting adds, while crowd controlling the rest while using buffs and debuffs.

    As I stated, an AOE taunt would create the inevitable meta of stacking health and holding perma-block while the healer heals me. I'd find that very boring in comparison to the current playstyle for tanks.

    You see, what one tank finds fun, another finds boring. There's no way to please everyone.

    But we certainly do know that ZOS deliberately did not include an AOE taunt and that none of the dungeons and trials are designed for such a thing.

    just asking for clarity - OP does know that there is an indicator on the boss like a debuff that lets you know its taunted. Right?

    lol, all good, I get you. And we can support the group in helping with adds..our cc's! Claws, Frozen device, Time stop, encase just to name a few and Silver leash to grab the scared ones back to the fight. So yea, we have the tools. ;)
