Bosmer Dodge roll. Love it or Hate it ?

Specifically the Dodge roll for penetration. I'm unsure about this, i thought a passive should be a passive not something you activate a skill for.
To me this feels like it should be on a 5 piece set bonus and its only useful in PVP

Indeed, the whole thing to me makes no sense. i just cant see a use for it at all. i do pvp on a bosmer warden as well. and its still not going to be useful to me.5 -

✭✭✭✭✭MarmiteWell, I can't imagine ever actually using it, and I'm annoyed at the loss of the Stealth bonus (the only racial ability I ever really paid attention to), but it doesn't rise to the level of "hate".3 -

✭✭✭✭✭I dodge roll to avoid red circles not to activate buffs. Activating a penetration buff will be the last thing on my mind in a fight, pve or pvp.
If someone is planning on using it as part of their rotation they were already rolling around with a bow to get the speed bonus. If they were rolling around with a bow then they will be happy for the penetration. This passive only helps bow-gankers.
The only application is if a player was already doing the following:
1. Heavy attack or charged aim from stealth at maximum allowable distance to get the possible stun,
2. Roll to get speed to run away using Hasty Retreat (now stacking with this passive) and becoming immune to snares
3. Get off another heavy/charged bow attack to finish off. (Now with bonus penetration)
That’s it. If you weren’t already doing EXACTLY that, you won’t benefit. That means if you were doing 1 in pve but not 2 then you don’t benefit. If you were doing 1 and 2 but not able to do 3, then no benefit. A player has to do all 3 steps on a regular basis to justify it.
It doesn’t help in pve because when you roll out of red you are already fast enough (with hasty retreat) to get out of anything else, 1 race being even faster is not going to make them “must haves” for pve content. When you are dodging mechanics, 6 seconds is not enough to get another shot off in the harder boss fights.#FiteForYourRite Bosmer = Stealth

✭HateThey stole my bosmers sneaking ability so I hate all of the rest of the bosmer changes. Even if they changed bosmers to be crazy OP compared to all other races, without bosmer stealth I'd still hate the changes. Nothing like tying a marginal offensive bonus passive to a purely defensive maneuver. I'm sure all the DPS players will be rolling through dungeons now...
I'd be less ticked off at this passive if they didn't gut the stealth from Bosmer in the process. As they are, they are nothing but a shorter, more useless version of Redguards.4 -

Wildbloom✭✭✭✭LoveI've ended up liking the dodge roll speed-up. It feels faster than 10% to me...bug maybe? The penetration is alright, but hardly noticeable.
The only thing that bothers me is the removal of the stealth bonus in favor of the far-weaker and extremely situational stealth detect. But yeah this passive is nuts in PVP. So good, my Bosmer StamDK is loving it. It’s basically the Steed Mundas stone or 2 pieces of Swift jewelry for free...
But I still hate that Bosmer lost stealth and the devs used this passive to justify that.
