Please Allow My Vampire to Wear Makeup

Before anyone says it...covering the pale, veiny vampire face IS NOT lore breaking or anything to that affect. After-all, we're playing a game where we can equip skins to make our character's skin look like molten lava among other things. Why can't we have the OPTION (if you like the vamp look, knock yourself out) to hide the vampire graphic?

Some skins hid it very well and allow other comestics on it like new dungeon one.

No. Vampires are unholy abominations and their wretched appearance is appropriate. You have the choice not to be vampire.

No, because this is not twilight. Surprised you did not ask to add sparkling as well. YOU choose to be a Monster, now you are gonna get the cure or "Unlive??" with it

Um excuse me. I pay taxes and donate frequently. Please don't judge me on my appearance :^[.

personally I'd be happy with just face paint cosmetics and tattoos actually being applied to the character model after the "vampire wash out" effect is overlaid ...

this would enable them to stand out without them muted as badly as they currently are when our characters are rendered which obviously means those effects are being applied before the "vampire wash out"

To be fair, your soul has been bound to Coldharbour, and you've returned from the planes of Oblivion as a soulless, daedric mockery of your former self. So, what I'm really saying is:

In fairness, that is a pretty short list. There's maybe four lipsticks, and a couple eyelash sets that show on a vampire normally. There's also a few things like the psijic markings that behave normally.

I'd still like to have the option to, at least, override the skin with stage 1 visuals.

I never understood why some people just want to kill other people's fun for no reason?

What argument is there behind it ? "I dont want you to look like you want, because you should be ugly "... okay ... thanks...

    It's quite simple really.

The request would not personally benefit them. If the devs were to take hypothetical time to work on an issue that does not personally benefit them then that would leave less time for those devs to spend hypothetical time working on things that do benefit them. It's pure greed and self interest.

It's an extremely common attitude in MMOs. Once you understand this you'll see and understand it in all kinds of threads where people try to shoot down ideas for no valid reason

I hate the vampire look too, but I tried to work around it. Some cosmetics kinda work with it, I think.

My only complaint is that body markings look very, very washed down on vamp skin. It'd help to hide the skin a lot, otherwise.

Okay then how come my Breton, who is not a vampire, can choose to become ice, lava, or have scale skin, and can even choose to be a xivkyn or skeleton with polymorphism?

It really comes down to how you want your vampire to look, wouldnt say no to the option to set Vampire stage to say stage 1. I dont cover my vampires as I have no issue for how they look and the skins is ugly in my opinion so I wear my vampiric grace since he became reborn. Still some clear marking I think should show.

As I have suggested before and will again in hopes that it will happen someday.

    Make a passive where
    stage 1 - look normal
stage 2 - 1 skill point to look normal
stage 3 - 2 skill points to look normal
stage 4 - 3 skill points required to look normal

    :)

    I'm inclined to agree.

I really wish we simply had the five stages as different skins we unlocked as we leveled Vampire.

    NO NO NO

Appearance is one the trade offs for the already OP benefits and at that it is insignificant and yet here is another thread complaining.

Either you get no benefits when not in vampire form or just live with it.

True but when you have so many and nothing to useful to put them in then why not.

Cured vampirism just yesterday. I hate the way my sorc looks. He was meant to be a classy Altmer, I bought additional outfit slots for him... and he ended being uglier than a falmer

I really don't get why you contrarians want to make things so difficult for others. I suspect Finder is on the right track with his/her post above explaining why people actively work to stop others from getting something: it doesn't benefit you, so you actively work against it. Just plain selfish.

One thing to keep in mind: I'm only asking it be an OPTION. Like I said in the op, if you like the vampire look, keep it. I'm not trying to force my opinion on anyone.

And frankly...the argument that 10% regen is the trade-off for the horrible look is asinine. We have entire skill trees that grant us benefits, many of which are stronger than those of vampirism, yet there are no trade-offs for those. They cost skill points and skill points only.

All I want is an option for my character to look the way I made her.

Contrarians are weird people. When someone asks for a feature they will never use, that will have no impact on them at all, they cry that it will ruin the game, or even the whole world.
