Stuck in heavy attack animation bug - PLEASE FIX

Used to be I only got this in vMA but now I am seeing it in every type of content, even pvp...
Your character while during doing damage in rotations / animation canceling etc...will start to randomly charge up a heavy attack and then your stuck with it until it finishes. Can't cancel, can't block cancel can't do anything but stand there waiting for the heavy attack to finish, completely stuck in the animation.
Never asked for a heavy attack but because it gets stuck in animation from start to finish it is basically a stun on yourself from a bugged heavy attack you didn't ask for...
You could be light attacking and out of no where your character starts to charge a heavy attack for no reason and your just stuck in animation until it finishes, can't use skill's, can't cancel the heavy attack, can't light attack, can still move but that's it...

Oh crap I just changed again from damage to healer build today, forgot about that, this could literally cause a lost survivor for your group in trials or dungeons...

✭I agree. This has been a thing far too long now. Even after having time away from the game until the recent patch I found it still hasn’t been fixed.

✭✭Sucks to jump on the negative bandwagon, but I have to agree that I doubt this is being fixed (or even acknowledged) any time soon. Someone above linked a thread that started in this year, but I started experiencing these sort of issues back in... I wanna say Homestead patch? When was that? Beginning of 2017? It's been a long time, since well before Summerset, that this sort of things started happening to me and people I play with. On PC using a gamepad, fwiw.
So yeah... Learn to live with it is the best advice I can offer.

✭This has been an issue since last year (if not longer) and has gotten progressively worse. They aren't going to fix it. They probably can't, and are staying silent on the matter because saying they can't fix it would be rather embarrassing.

✭Hey let's just make a list of bugs that are in the game for at least one year but are not likely to get fixed anytime soon- fix lag
- fix fps dropping after long fight
- fix grp-finder
- fix getting feared into walls
- fix ambush through doors
- fix getting chained through doors
- portals in vAA not working till everyone jumps like a monkey
- stuck in combat
- randomly getting in combat on a warden
- double cast on targeted ground aoe in lag or not going off
- fix clunky heavy attack animation that will you get stuck in
- there are still a lot of places in cyro where you can get stuck in and they are known since ages
too lazy to write more point but you get it, they either can not fix them or they do not care

✭✭✭Come on ZOS this would be classed as a blocker from releasing a patch in any other game. It literally blocks you from doing anything with your character for seconds at a time...which in this twitch fest of a game where you need to react to one shot mechanics every few seconds makes ALOT of difference...

I switched to mag dpses and this thing gives so much frustration I can't even focus on practicing rotation because it happens at least half the time. And no responses from ZOS in any thread related to this problem.3

Donlup✭✭✭If you are spamming light attack on barswap it tends to happen more often from what I found might be some kinda input buffer problem or such (no idea how it works in eso but speaking from experiance with other games) so on barswaps try only to do one light attack and have it timed correctly it fixed it for me any how i know its a stupid work around but try it.0
