Break the silence

Zenimax has to get their heads out of the sand and answer the concerns regarding billing issues and lack of gamecards.
I set up a plan using paypal but my friends can't as they haven't got a credit card.

I enjoy the game and I will most likely play it for many months to come but
I find the lack of response offensive and because of that I have cancelled my subscription.

I cancelled it to make a point and if enough players act in the same way Zenimax will be put under a lot of pressure.

I'd like to see some sort of roadmap for the game for future content and all the things they intend to fix. Would be awesome!

There were 5 million people playing the beta and most of them stuck around. I highly doubt Zenimax would notice if a few people left.
    Currently playing:

People are expressing valid concerns, there are some serious issues with the game and Zenimax remains silent. There are many bugs, including some serious game effecting ones (like the bank reset), the botting and gold spamming is growing rampant, billing issues, performance and lag issues and on top of it all, an incompetent support that fails to meet the minimum standards of any industry.

You wouldn't accept that in any other service or product and yet people here are so quick to dismiss these valid concerns and mock those who take a stand and refuse to pay for what they consider a undelivered service.

To anyone who decided to vote with the wallet and refuse to pay, I salute you for taking a stand, this is how customers should really behave when they don't get what they deserve. Wish there were enough people who do that to make it noticeable.

I find them actually very responsive.

But I'm a War vet and I know how the sound of silence tastes.

I cancelled because I pre-ordered and did not get the free 30 days, and was charged for a full month. I put that in my reason for cancelling, but that I would re-sub, as soon as they credit me for the free the 30 days, otherwise no.

    What for?

    A. You will not have any room in the bank to actually store it

    and

    B. You will probably lose the items anyway when the next bank reset bug hits

You need a credit card to shop at Amazon so that doesn't help much.

I am managing my bank quite properly, haven't ran out of any slots yet, i actually have some space left.

And I doubt it, I haven't encountered that bug yet, and to be honest, nor do i expect to.

So, can I have it? (:

You have to put in the GAME CODE that comes with the PHYSICAL or DIGITAL copy of the game onto your account to activate your 30 days free, if you didn't do that your game time is up from early access of course your gonna have to pay the fee for the month. It requires you setup a subscription for AFTER your 30 days free expire. If you didn't do that or don't want to do that I cannot help you @metaldrummer1962b14a

True. I didn't really think that through. Can they buy pre-paid credit cards and use those?

    No problem.

I'm afraid that pre-paid cards aren't avaliable where we live (Sweden) I think we have checked with every physical store there is in Stockholm but it's the same answer everywhere.

They hope they will have them avaliable late April but they are not sure because they haven't received any information.

The charge was a temporary hold, not an actual charge. This is how most companies verify that it is a valid form of payment. Hell, even my power company puts a hold for half the monthly bill on my card 4days before the bill is actually due, just to see if there are funds in the account. The bank releases it back the next day, but the point is, Zenimax isn't doing anything new here.

I personally believe that this is the first time alot of you are ever seeing this, but as someone who has paid bills online, and purchased items online for a lot of years... I can say this isn't new, or specific to Zenimax.

Zenimax doesn't determine how long it stays there in your account, that is up to the financial institution. I used a debit card, and the hold was released the very next business day. I also know that some peoples banks/CC companies hold a lot longer, and I feel for you guys on that.

Keep in mind, however, a majority of online vendors that offer free time, a free trial, or anything with the word free for a specific amount of time, take your payment info so they can bill you if you do not cancel within that time frame.

Most people are playing their "included" 30 days of game time, and have had their authorizations released.

The above post is based on my opinion, and not Zenimax fanboyism. Obviously, different people are having different results, or there wouldn't be threads related to it. There are just things more important to me, that I have been pi**ed off about with this game.
