Hi so was playing as a wood elve, but after the stealth nerf , was thinking is a dark elve now better with the increased weapon damage nearly the same stamina boost and as a newly
christened vampire the fire buff would be very nice, any advice would be welcome, I know everyone likes the cats, but just don't think its me

Stealth is basically useless in endgame content. It's only useful for thieves guild and Dark Brotherhood Story quests.

As a nightblade you have cloak anyways so you don't have to worry. If you like Wood Elf keep playing it.

Op didn’t state pve or pvp. Stealth is not useless in end game if your endgame is pvp. The new passive is useless because 3 meters of stealth detection is under the range you need to be effective. Incap is 5 meters, even jabs is 6 meters. No one in pvp Attacks from stealth in under melee range unless they have Cloak or an invisibility potion (and the passive doesn’t work against that).

I've changed from Bosmer to Dark Elf (Dunmer).

Bosmer stealth bonuses have been taken away and as a PVP stamblade who plays mostly in stealth the replacement speed passive is next to useless to me.

on the plus side the extra Magicka (great for an extra cloak or two), flame resist and weapon damage should more than make up for the loss :)

Stealth is still pretty useless in PvP. The passive made a very little difference. Besides the OP has cloak

You know you :) Think of your play style. In pvp, expedition is incrediably strong, especially if you can los. Have fun chasing a bosmer in a tower fight and should be strong in bgs.

In pvp, think of how you play. Plenty of people on forums will think based on a parse dumming reading.

Stealth is nice if your nb heavy attacks into SA for an opener. If thats you open or your looking to make a brawler, or gank build maybe change up.

But if you poison inject then gap close, you're revealed anyways. Consider senche and maybe impreg as you can go with several well fitted pieces.

Still viable for sure, just think of how you want to play.

For pvp, bosmer is still fine.

Orc is a good choice too. Even nord if you want more of a brawler build.

I've been playing nightblade with dark elf for a while. Originally made him a magblade, but with the racial changes, I've been able to flip him back and forth between magblade and stamblade fairly seamlessly, with respeccing of course. For both PVP and PVE, too.

Afaik your bosmer bonus stealth damage didnt work for cloak. So youve lost nothing.

i was playing dunmer stamblade before these patches, and look how i got rewarded :)

orc is the best one for pvp tho. that flame resistance (besides immunity) makes you take 2-3 percent less damage. not that big of a deal.

This doesn't seem right. The new Bosmer passive increases stealth detection radius by 3 meters, it doesn't make it 3 meters flat.

Dunmer is not going to be any better than Khajiit/Redguard/Bosmer for a huge chunk of the playerbase unless they enjoy playing with a bit more than 15k base health.

Most things will work. Yes; Orc will be tops for adding melee damage and Nords to add some tankiness, and Bosmer if you want to trolrollol. Personaly; my NB relies more on magicka off pools than some of my other classes so I am debating between Khajiit and Dark Elf. The Cloack garauntees crit and khajiit boosts the damage there. Bosmer I find the max magicka better for the off pool than the little recovery and smaller pool khajiit gets, and the fire resist is not huge but its something.

You get 16k health with the new CP scaling.

No ... in 7 medium a Dunmer stamblade will have ~15.3k health with Dubious and ~15.5k with Artaeum Takeaway Broth. And that's with a Shadow ability slotted. On a standard PvE backbar it's ~14.9k health with Dubious and ~15.2k with Artateum Takeaway Broth.

And you can't sustain a fight that lasts longer than about 30 seconds on an Orc/Dunmer without using regen food.

I'm not sure what problem tri-stat food is supposed to solve. And every NB is already running Leeching Strikes. You still won't be able to sustain any real fight without regen food or some other sacrifice (regen glyph, absorb stam enchant, heavy attacks, etc.) that negates any DPS advantage Dunmer have over Khajiit/Bosmer/Redguard to begin with.

The OP has cloak... do you think cloak is always on? It has to be cast every few seconds. A stam character can cast it 3-4 times before needing to rest in crouch or take a potion.
If it’s not your area of expertise it’s okay to sit it out, no shade.
