I should've quit when i got a chance (unfortunately couple of my friends wanted to give it a try, even that 30 days free was a fraud...). Now to the temporary acess codes:

situation 1:
- playing on my computer - quit the game for a minute - got back and wholaaaa - temporary access code needed - w8 for 20 mins - no sing of an email - tried to login without it - whohoooo - i'm in - no need for access code
situation 2:
- playing on my another computer (played on it before) - quit the game for a minute - got back and wholaaaa - temporary access code needed - got the email in like 1-2 minutes - copy+paste the code - failed - ehm w8 what - trying again - failed - that code just doesnt seem to work - acc got blocked for 10 mins after couple of tries

I dont mind the ingame bugs, coz its normal at the start (WoW and SWTOR were wayyyy worse than this). But 30 days free fraud and your FAIL temporary access code keeps me thinking of quiting for sure...

PS. Sorry for the grammar, english is not my native language.

The temporary access code thing is annoying and overboard. I honestly believe they could easily remove that code from the game, make the world easier and not cause anybody a problem.

I've had no problem with it, popped up twice so far, sent to me email right away.

No email so far, prompted for a half hour.

I am also with them removing the temporary code and replacing it with something else, like an Authenticator app on mobile devices just as Battle.net Authenticator with World of Warcraft, also make it OPTIONAL.

These things are starting to bug me. As mentioned by others ... I don't mind the bugs / crashes at start or launch. But NOT begin able to play WHEN I HAVE THE TIME TO DO SO ... that's driving me crazy.

For me ... I've been using this computer since early access. Never needed an access code. Even today, I was playing fine without access code. I logged out to go downstairs for dinner and when I got back I couldn't get in anymore. Access Code required ... never received an email ... yet.

So, I guess by the time I will actually GET the email I will be in bed getting some sleep.

Its starting to make me think if I made the right decision ...

And the key will be already invalid as its timed out :disappointed:

The code is only good for 10 minutes. I would check my email with them is valid. Next thing Id check the spam folder. The email is being sent just somehow you arent getting it. Possibly due to a typo in email address? I dont know for sure. I know it worked smooth for me and i like it secures my account.

I can tell you for a fact that the supposed codes that they've sent everytime I've been prompted HAVEN'T EVER ARRIVED.

And yes, the email account on file matches the email account I'm checking.
And No, it isn't being filtered as spam.

And NO, it does JACK to secure your account. They are sending a plain text code over the most insecure form of communication on the planet. Its not doing anything really to secure your account. If they actually cared about account security they would have an OPT-IN option for an actual authenticator.

And to add insult to injury, the notification that I'd posted my first comment got to my email in under 10s. Still waiting on that Authentication code....

To be fair, those two systems are probably totally unrelated.

While true, it points the issue solely at the feet of ZOS. AKA, they can send email from their domain and I'll receive it. If their authentication system is so broken it isn't requesting the mail to be sent or their mail server so broken that it won't send it, then they need to fix it ASAP.
