I've been playing ESO on a laptop with 4k resolution. It's been running and looking fine at High settings.

I connected my 27" 1920x1080 monitor via HDMI to my laptop and set the game to play on that monitor, but I can't seem to get the graininess out of the image.

Here's a screenshot.

The text in the lower left is the best example of what I'm getting.

On the external monitor, I have the video settings set to Windowed (Fullscreen), 1920x1080, Ultra settings and am still seeing graininess. This is on a Win10 Pro 64-bit, so I know there's scaling and DPI settings, too, but I've messed with those a bit and can't seem to clear things up.

Is this the best I can do as far as clarity of the image?

Figured it out - kind of...

What I did was, I shut the game down (left the launcher open, but I don't think that affected any thing) and changed my the primary display to the external 27" monitor. I'm not sure if shutting the game down and restarting it or changing the primary monitor did it, but in case anyone else has a similar issue, I thought I'd mention it...
